On this channel, I am sharing my journey as an International Student.
In this video, I have shared my experience of applying for an Irish Residency Permit (IRP) card which is required to live in Ireland until your course ends. Having this permit allows you to move in & out of Ireland without any restrictions while you are on a student visa i.e., Stamp-2.

For applying for IRP do we have to show funds in irish bank accounts?

2- I thought we needed IRP card as requirement to open a bank account?

No. The rule has been changed recently. You have to call to book an appointment. I presume you can call by your Irish number.

Yeah you can. Make sure you have all the documents with you before your appointment date. And, Nothing to attach

Within 14 days. No need for ppsn letter. Just your pps card and number is enough.

@@neophytebeing I applied for PPSN online uploading all the documents but no option was there to request for a card. So what should I do now?
@adilfarooq1430 You can find the details of the PPS card on the letter when you receive your number. The process can be found on my video. Don't worry, just take a letter with you tomorrow

Hello, I have some queries about the IRP card application:
1. I have noticed that international students should get the IRP card within 90 days of arrival, suppose I arrived in Cork on 1st September, will the immigration officer offer me a time within or beyond 90 days of my arrival? Should I make my appointment before or after I have arrived in Cork?
2. May I request to get my card in person instead of by post? If not, may I provide my school's accommodation address to them for posting the card?
3. Should the bank statement be printed from a bank in my home country or in Ireland? If it is in Ireland, should the address on the bank statement be my home country's address or the address in Ireland?
4. If I am not planning to apply PPSN (since I am not planning to work), could I apply still apply the IRP card without PPSN?
5. May I use the full letter of acceptance or should I request for another college letter from my college when applying IRP card?
1) you cannot make an appointment unless you are a registered student and have a college letter, bank account & PPSN as proof.
2) No, you cannot request that. Why do you need to get it in person? It will be delivered to your address.
3) Irish bank account and Irish address because IRP is for Ireland not for your home country.
4) I forgot about this, but you may check the documents required for IRP on the website mentioned in the video.
5) You have to get a letter from the college separately. different from the acceptance letter. You need to be a registered student which will be done once you are here.
