@@nomadbrad6391 Well, Lincoln is gone, so there was some reason to give them another chance. And the rebuild, it went pretty well, so I was happy to go to games and see the team improve. But Stanton revealed his colors when the time came to put up or shut up, and he shut the fuck up. So, this rotation is going to go for naught, none of them will extend with the M's, and this team is going to waste this opportunity. Dipoto wanted to build for the long haul, but it's a fool's errand with this ownership.
@@philippemelin6880 Oh, I'll root for the team. I'm watching Mariners news every day. But I can watch without paying cable or MLB, and I don't have to go to games or buy merch. I fucking love the Mariners. Pretty sure you're a dick, tho.
Ditto - no season tickets, no individual game tickets and no merchandise purchased this past season by our family. Not spending a dime until the owners increase the spending like they promised...especially since the owners decided to double the basic flex season ticket package over 3 seasons.
This is nothing against you guys, but I have tried to avoid a lot of the talk this off-season about who the Mariners might be able/willing to bring on to fill all of their gaps. After this past season, and all of 2023, I just have needed to not spend too much time on speculating about trades, FA signings, anything. Knowing that Jerry, who I am not a fan of, and Justin only have $15M to spend this offseason has been too depressing to think about. I’ll get excited IF the M’s actually do something. The bottom line is this team lied to us about investing at the right time as part of DiBozo’s “step back” plan. We are now going into year 7 since Jerry decided to tear things down, and what do we have to show for it? Strong pitching, yes. A genuine superstar in Julio, yes. But, the likelihood they might need to trade Castillo in order to patch up one of the many holes in the lineup is just another example of the ownership purposely putting up roadblocks instead of manning up and doing the simplest, and best things to improve the team. And that is paying for real players with real talent to come to Seattle. It is mind boggling how this team has managed to completely blow all the hope and goodwill that came about in 2022. I’m sick and tired of the excuses.
100% they are losing the fan base. I’ve been a fan for 20 years. Glued to my phone this time of year reading up on everything Seattle Mariner related. This year I have paid zero attention to this offseason, mostly because of everything we see year after year which is just us losing out to better run and more win now focused franchises. We act poor and do not want to win that much is clear.
Also didn’t renew my season tickets. Team keeps increasing prices and hasn’t given fans a reason to be optimistic in awhile. They’re profitable, but about to waste their best window maybe ever. When they flop, again, is this it for Jerry? I have no confidence that they bring in someone better, but this fan base will not support them through another rebuild
big fan as a 7th grader back in their inaugural 1977 season.....Season ticket holder 1994 thru 2004.....I saw their lack of VISION back in 2008/2009......haven't been to a single game since 2009..... and I haven't wasted loyalty on them ever since.
If you have missed the playoffs on the last day of the season, 3 of the last 4 years, and your plan is to waste 2/3 of the season before you complete your lineup, you cannot argue that you care about winning.
Stanton and ownership hoping that all the casual fans that blindly support the team will keep them in the green regardless of the subpar product and results that we see year after year. And unfortunately history looks to support that. This fan base deserves better, but I don't see it happening with this ownership group.
They lost the fan base a long time ago. Absolutely nobody has faith in them. What matters more to people than their team winning tho, is getting out to the games to have family time. And unfortunately the mariners have absolutely feasted on that fact for years and are obviously content with doing it.
YES the have lost all but the “I just want to sit, talk and maybe get a free hotdog”. Stanton will no longer see ANY of my money since he simply puts it into his pocket. The ratio of revenue to payroll is completely out of bounds for a team trying to win they ONLY want money for Stanton’s pocket
Looking at our farm system, most guys are gonna come up in 2026-2027. Wouldn’t be surprised if the reason they’re not spending is cause they don’t wanna get locked into a multi year expensive contract when majority of our infield will be brought up in 2026/2027. They could also be holding off on big FA moves to extend guys in house to make a solid core for these new guys to come into. Moreover, could see us trading off one of our top end SP and replacing them with the pitchers we drafted last year or one they take with the 3rd pick in this draft. Unfortunately, looks like we’re gonna have to wait another couple years before any sort of major contention unless guys ball out this year after a down season last year
Seeing as how the only thing we’re consistently elite at is draft and development, makes sense why Boras is handicapping the team to just that (although it’s absolutely terrible and you shouldn’t own a team if you aren’t willing to take a gamble and spend)
We as a collective fanbase need to boycott the Front Office, that park needs to be empty opening day, but because our fanbase is a majority of smoothbrained mouthbreathers theyll continue to flock in and give ownership money and theyll continue to not care about winning. We should picket outside the stadium on opening day.
Trading Castillo anymore to me makes no sense unless it's a Hoerner trade with the Cubs. The whole reason seemed to unlock money to sign Walker and now he's gone to the Asstros. Might as well just keep Castillo and roll with this trash again.
If ownership isn’t going to actually do their job and spend money to make money then they need to call up prospects and bring in the kids that are itching to get on the field.
I was so excited to move up near Seattle for a job so I could go to more Mariners games. But this offseason has completely sucked the life out of me. I'll definitely go to more games just because I'm closer now, but I don't think I'll be going nearly as often as I thought I would.
You going to games and giving John Stanton your money is why we have offseasons like this. You make him richer and therefore he doesn’t need to improve the team.
There are teams that are trying to win a WS title.... and then there's the Mariners. I think it's safe to say that they are losing the fan base. I've been a fan my entire life (42 years) and I am pretty much done with this ownership/experiment. We should have been good 5 years ago.
The table is set with first rate pitching, the envy of most teams in MLB. The guests are seated, waiting for the main course to arrive with all related complimentary dishes. Its time to bring the main course, aka a much improved offensive attack and the kitchen says it will "be a bit longer." HOW many times it this our off season scenario?

I’ve been a devoted M’s fan since the early 80s. I was a staunch proponent of the rebuild, disappointed with the close finishes in the second half of last decade, but willing to tolerate another teardown. That patience crumbled last winter. Ownership sold the fanbase a bill of goods. We’re not asking for a $200 million budget. Would it kill them, for the sake of starved fans, to just up the payroll to even $165 million while they have an affordable nucleus? I won’t go to any games or buy any M’s merch until I believe that ownership is committed to a championship. I also won’t watch their games on TV. I stream their games on illegal sites, which doesn’t help their TV ratings. I will remain an avid fan without their deceiving ownership taking advantage of me.
The increase in ROOTS Sports channel pricing broke the camel's back. I've been a fan since I moved here in '97. I still go to games, but the M's remind me more and more of mid-market mis-managed teams that just exist under the current regime. When they spend and put the games on regular tv, I'll tune in. It's not just about winning. I've been loyal for decades, but the M's are relying on my money and fandom just because I live here and love baseball.
I went to one time last year and it was a value game for $10 and a bobblehead giveaway so yes the fan base is making a point to ownership. Wish we had the Mets owner instead
I don't get why are we spending so much time talking about 1B. Do a Raley/Locklear platoon there if you have to. I'd much rather we concentrate on 2B and 3B where we have NO real options. And no, I don't consider Moore/Bliss an option at either.
Even though the 2024 "fun differential" was in the negative numbers, Ms still drew 2.55M last year. They have Julio, a rotation that gives fans a chance to see a win every time out, Cal, an exciting OF, and the possibility of new energy with new coaching. I think the biggest problem of this offseason is there's not much content being created for TH-cam views. There are moves coming, probably not as major as we all want, but I don't see much evidence that the Ms are "losing the fanbase." I fully expect 2.5M or more this season, no matter what.

Hate to say it, but Castillo would be the Reds' #4 at best right now. Sure, he's got slightly better 2024 stats than most of their guys, but he also pitched half of his games here (#1 pitcher-friendly park ~ the anti-Coors) while all of the Reds' guys pitched half of their games in Great American Small Park (#3 hitter-friendly park) other than Singer who was in KC (#4 hitter-friendly park). Even as a young groundballing stud, Castillo's HRA rate was roughly 30% higher there, and he's been a flyball pitcher ever since he came here. He's also been slowly but steadily declining since coming here. When we first extended him, he was excellent value. He's still positive value, but by a *way* smaller margin than we (and Jerry) want to admit. The Reds wouldn't return their remaining pieces from the 2022 trade for him today; likely not even if we ate 100% of his remaining contract. Heck, without eating the bulk of his contract, I doubt a team as poor as the Reds would so much as give us Spencer Steer for him 1-for-1 (or Noelvi, lol).
If Luke Raley moves to the outfield, Randy Arozarena could DH against righthanders. Against lefthanders, Raley sits, Arozarena moves to the outfield and Mitch Garver takes over at DH. Which does not address first base, second base or third base.
What a surprise every trade we have been rumored in on has passed us by every first baseman is gone and we are now being tied to Turner old ass dang so Jerry who said we gonna get better and whoever reported we in on all these star players to get us excited then went and did NOTHING TO GET ANY OF THEM and is now gonna bring back same guy as last year wow thats crazy thats never happened before I am shocked...
Ownership has shown how much the fan mean to them by not putting a winning product on the field. We have waited and supported this franchise just waiting for the day the rebuild was complete only to get kicked in the balls. Now let the fans return the favor and show ownership we do have a voice
Without a doubt but Stanton’s assistants are probably seeing the negative comments on podcasts and relaying them back to Stanton. He is probably sticking it to us even more. We get Coal for Christmas guys.
@@bradleybrady2111There is even an outside chance Garver won't suck, and someone needs to be the backup catcher. The problem with this thinking and the Mariners clearly think this way, is that Hanniger has to be paid the exact same amount if you let him cost you 2 or 3 games by playing him as he does if you cut him tomorrow.
Honestly, I don't think so. This fanbase has been through much worse. Now am I infuriated about the current situation? Yes. As a Mariner fan since their inception, I have never seen a better chance to win the World Series and it breaks my heart to see an ownership group that is unwilling to go all in, so they can line their pockets with more money. Honestly, I don't think we will make it to the next level unless this team is sold to a billionaire that wants to win it all. I may threaten to quit rooting for the Mariners, but they will always be my team and I will continue to go to a couple of games a year wether they suck or win it all.
Scott servais wasn’t the problem it was the ownership I hope they turn it around a little bit all they need is 2-3 more wins each season in the past 6 years and they would have 3-4 more playoff appearances
Jerry's leash has been insanely long. 1 playoff appearance in what 10 years? Unacceptable for a team in a market this size. I did't renew my season tickets because they wanted like 1000 for a 20 game pack in the 300s. Like no absolutely not seeing as they have no desire to field a winning product. Also sick of the nostalgia. Get ready for 4 different Ichiro themed home stands and a Rickey Henderson tribute weekend this year that will all completely sell out. The staying power of former stars and players here is so sad. Can't build a house with pretzels and peanut butter much like you can't building a winning franchise with 2 dollars and players from the 90s.
John Santaton LMAO .. i literally spit my coffee out laughing .. Mariners don't have baseball fans as owners.. i feel this way because IMO anyone who is a fan of the game also wants to win.. Mariners owners are investors who figured out that sports teams are great investments long term even if you don't play to win.. AND the place that your guaranteed to grow investment lives is paid for by someone else (county/fans) .. guaranteed financial winning for investors; and empty promises for the fans and tax payers for decades.. yes ownership has a growing problem in the fans
Stopped going to the games and now I stopped cable, so I don't watch any from home Stanton showed his cards a long time ago, he likes a 500-percentage club not a winner.
As a fan of 25+ years I can wholeheartedly say I'm done with any type of support for this team until ownership changes. Thankfully I don't live in Seattle anymore so I'm not even tempted to go to games. I really wish the fans would speak with their wallets cause that is the only way we will see change. STOP SPENDING MONEY ON THIS TEAM!
I have faith. They did pretty good at the trade deadline but even if no 😮 type moves are made I feel confident in how they were looking in the second half (bar some of the goofiness)
The Mariners were active the last two seasons and collected one expensive bum after another. Time to revert to developing one of the best farms in baseball. Young, Ford, Evans incoming. Emerson not too far away, 3rd pick in '25 could be Aiva Arquette, who could debut in '26. Farmelo will be better than J-Rod. They need to focus on resigning Gilbert next season. If Evans comes up, trade Castillo at the deadline. The only FA player I wanted was Tyler O'Neill; a well managed cheap franchise snapped him away instantly and will once again go to the playoffs. That said, there are still very good players on the FA market. Pack Haniger and Garver to some tempting prospects, get off the 28m we pay them. Then sign Bregman. No more experiments.
they have certainly lost me. I have been a fan of them since their inception and used to bleed Mariner blue. But if there is no commitment from ownership to win a championship I am out. I have watched enough less than championship level of baseball with this organization for a lifetime or two. I am bored watching an 80 to 88 win team. Nothing exciting about watching a team that wins at a 54% clip. THAT is boring. Not entertaining.
@ the world knows they aren’t spending any money, which is why I find it weird they keep talking about free agents. Especially ones that have gotten 20mil/yr+ contracts this offseason, haven’t heard a single word about Rizzo though.
I saw picked up a couple of journey men minor league catchers. Could mean something...maybe not. I just watched the whole 1995 ALDS game 5. Kimgdome was rocking!! Would love to feel that energy again.
I follow the Dodgers tired of following this grumpy old troll ownership. Stanton doesn’t look like he has seen the sun im months. Started following the Dodgers last Winter.
I think they’re just gonna resign Justin turner have him play for like a year or two since he was decent with us and he’s a vet that can help the young guys and he won’t be expensive
I am a Sasaki fan. The Seattle area is ideal for him, but I doubt that the owners will do the right thing and pay him when he's up for arbitration in 3 years. That's why I regretfully wish him to pick a better team.
Let's see. 7 stars to cheer for in Logan Gilbert, George Kirby, Bryce Miller, Bryan Woo, Luis Castillo, Julio Rodriguez, and Cal Raleigh. Just need a couple of additions to their supporting cast(a major ready first baseman and third baseman) and then they're set for making a potential World Series run in 2025.
Didn't renew my season ticket. It's my mission to not give Stanton any more cash. He's a liar and does not want this team to win.

Will they lose fans? Maybe…it’s entertainment and it’s doesn’t take much to entertain a fan base that looks at their phone 3/4 of the game lol
Bad base running..Julio getting picked off 🙄
I won’t go next year and won’t purchase root sports. 710 am just to listen to Rizz ❤
If I'm Cal I'm trying to get out of here asap. Which sucks
Fun show. I wish the Ms would do something worth taking about.
im losing up for the mariners with no major moves being made this off season... guess we settling for mediocre smh Dipoto and Stanton
Sign Anthony Santander, put him at first
If Luke Raley moves to the outfield, Randy Arozarena could DH against righthanders. Against lefthanders, Raley sits, Arozarena moves to the outfield and Mitch Garver takes over at DH. Which does not address first base, second base or third base.
"the mariners have a big problem at first base" bro they have worse situations at 2nd and 3rd.
Absolutely, I haven't spent any money on the M's in years.
I’m checked out. I really don’t care anymore lol. Respect to you guys for keeping on trucking through these dark off seasons lol
It was Dipover before it even Stanton'd
What a surprise every trade we have been rumored in on has passed us by every first baseman is gone and we are now being tied to Turner old ass dang so Jerry who said we gonna get better and whoever reported we in on all these star players to get us excited then went and did NOTHING TO GET ANY OF THEM and is now gonna bring back same guy as last year wow thats crazy thats never happened before I am shocked...
If you even have to ask that question, you obviously haven't been paying attention.
Ownership has shown how much the fan mean to them by not putting a winning product on the field. We have waited and supported this franchise just waiting for the day the rebuild was complete only to get kicked in the balls. Now let the fans return the favor and show ownership we do have a voice
Watch us bring Ty France back lmao
And Rojas lol
Without a doubt but Stanton’s assistants are probably seeing the negative comments on podcasts and relaying them back to Stanton. He is probably sticking it to us even more. We get Coal for Christmas guys.
I'm fine with Raley getting lots of ABs at first, but that means they have no one to take ABs at DH, that belongs in a major league lineup
I’ve been hearing that haniger will be the DH for the most part, so exciting!
Both Mitches can DH. Kinda stuck.with them, Garver owed 12 million and Hanigar owed 15+
Yes, they've lost my full support as of late. I don't think they care, so I'm curbing my disgust as much as possible.
YES.
They're sure losing me. Go Pads!
Scott servais wasn’t the problem it was the ownership I hope they turn it around a little bit all they need is 2-3 more wins each season in the past 6 years and they would have 3-4 more playoff appearances
The Mariners are losing me, Mariner Mojo will never lose me 🫡
Neverrrrr!!!!!!
Looks like sub .500 season coming. Maybe 2026 will be .600 to keep 54% over 20 years.
The Ms have absolutely lost me. I loved this team and can’t take it anymore.
Stopped going to the games and now I stopped cable, so I don't watch any from home Stanton showed his cards a long time ago, he likes a 500-percentage club not a winner.
This franchise is cooked!
There not trading or signing shit
Yes!
Yes
As a fan of 25+ years I can wholeheartedly say I'm done with any type of support for this team until ownership changes. Thankfully I don't live in Seattle anymore so I'm not even tempted to go to games. I really wish the fans would speak with their wallets cause that is the only way we will see change. STOP SPENDING MONEY ON THIS TEAM!
I have faith. They did pretty good at the trade deadline but even if no 😮 type moves are made I feel confident in how they were looking in the second half (bar some of the goofiness)
What on earth have the Mariners shown you that gives you faith in them? Honestly curious. Just because they made moves last trade deadline?
Quick answer yes sell
they have certainly lost me.
Is Tommy LaStella available. I’m sure he can play somewhere. This ownership doesn’t deserve the fan base they have!
How expensive do you think a past prime Rizzo would be for a platoon 1B/DH
If he's more expensive than a pack of smokes and a stick of gum he's out of the mariners price range. Maybe Chone Figgens could pay him?
@ the world knows they aren’t spending any money, which is why I find it weird they keep talking about free agents. Especially ones that have gotten 20mil/yr+ contracts this offseason, haven’t heard a single word about Rizzo though.
Episode 15 of asking for "The Brandon Drury episode"
I saw picked up a couple of journey men minor league catchers. Could mean something...maybe not. I just watched the whole 1995 ALDS game 5. Kimgdome was rocking!! Would love to feel that energy again.
James triantos doesn’t hit well? Bahaha at what level?
France… is that you?
Yes , this is Ty
John Stanton is what happens when you let nerds own teams.
Not sold on Neolvi being as good as you say. He was horrible in 2024 at every level.
I dont think he has the drive or desire. How much did steroids help him? Without tje juice who is he really?
No matter how bad they are, I will always be a fan and believe.
Share that Kool Aid your drinking with the rest of us fans.. lol
I moved away to the east coast in 1995 and am still somehow a fan😂
Me too because im an idiot. I got hooked on the mariners as a child it's hard to let go.
Seattle will stand pack we have the cheapest owners in the MLB
I follow the Dodgers tired of following this grumpy old troll ownership. Stanton doesn’t look like he has seen the sun im months. Started following the Dodgers last Winter.
Too much talk about it later. Just talk about it now
It's ownership. Always has been, always will be until it isn't. Pathetic
BRING NOELVI BACK HOME
I think they’re just gonna resign Justin turner have him play for like a year or two since he was decent with us and he’s a vet that can help the young guys and he won’t be expensive
That's the vibe, but a lot of us were saying the same thing about Slamtana before even he turned out to be too expensive for us.
I lile Turner but that's a signing that gets you 1 game short of the playoffs.
@@bradleybrady2111 yeah I’m not saying it’s the right thing to do but will most likely be the thing they do
first
Congratulations. Want a cookie? 😂
@@WaytoDawn91 dont be jealous, be faster next time
I'm not jealous. I think it's silly that people care so much about being the first commenter. I got more important things to think about. 😂
@@WaytoDawn91 i literally just said first.... what part of that makes you assume i "care so much" its a comment. get over it snowflake
I’m still praying to get Sasaki🙏🏻. If we do get Sasaki trade Castillo to get a bat!
I am a Sasaki fan. The Seattle area is ideal for him, but I doubt that the owners will do the right thing and pay him when he's up for arbitration in 3 years. That's why I regretfully wish him to pick a better team.
Hes going to the dodgers 100% let's not fool ourselves. He'll win multiple world series over there with his countrymen.
When will Wander Franco be available for Mariner signing?
I’d be fine with that
Taking kids to game would violate his probation, ticket sales would decline.
You're missing the point... they're not gonna add those pieces because they don't wanna spend the money to get them
Every morning when I get up I Google "Seattle Mariners" and click news....basically, I start off every day pissed. Stanton can FO.

Even if he brought you a gift Colton how cheap do you think it would be? Like uncle Frank from home alone cheapskate kinda cheap?
Yes!
