I think Joel Sherman has a good handle on Yankee world. He has a real approach to the inner workings of Yankee management. He also is a good judge of their talent.
Sherman is great. After the World Series when he said - the Yankees give up 90 feet like they don’t give a fuck. I laughed then thought about it for a few seconds and thought to myself - wow that’s a perfect description
We still need a second baseman or a third baseman, a backup catcher who can throw runners out, and a solid defensive lefthanded leftfielder who can hit
Jazz 2B ~ Cabrera 3B ~ Trevino is gone ~ the Yanks have an outfield that made the WS, so more is not really needed, but possible. If not, LaMaheiu at 1B, Bellinger in the OF.
Joel Sherman > John Heyman ~ just sayin ~ Yanks are already better than last year ~ Fried over Cortes & Williams over Holmes (with no constantly missed balls in RF)
Will Bellinger get stronger and improve?? He doesnt seem to work on conditioning...the upper body and shoulder area to be sure.... he cant get around on the fastball....He can still time an offspeed pitch and guide it over a wall when it comes down in the middle of a the zone but he was overmatched vs. pace...
so far the Yankees off season has been a successful one if we can dump Stroman's contract that would be a plus. but then again we should keep him for depth but to be honest i really thought Durbin would be our 2B, since we traded him away i hope we sign Williams long term.
good move getting a left handed bat in this lineup a guy that can play 1B/OF i like it hopefully some of that power comes back at Yankees stadium which should. that short porch in RF will help Cody but we still have more work to do we need a 1B/3B depending on what we do with Jazz. we can stay with a in house option with Rice or sign cheaper options like Santana, Goldschmidt maybe trade for Yandy Diaz or Nanthaniel Lowe. maybe Santander is a option he only played a few game there last season but his bat too me is appealing. and the only reason you would sign him just to make up that power loss from Soto.
The Yankees should Kim from the Pods to play second base. He doesn't have a qualifying offer attached. Then the yankess should trade for Josh Nayle to play first. His glove is good but his left handed bat at Yankee Stadium can easily translate to 30 plus homers.
I like the team makeup. Losing Soto is a blessing. I doubt the Yankees can improve the overall roster with money tied to Soto. Now with abt 25mil left now go get Bregman/Walker n trade Stroman
Out of the so-called 5 tools, Soto has one - i.e. he hits for power when he gets a hold of a pitch. That's about it. Otherwise he's mostly a hotdog showboat me-first ballplayer. Good riddance
Brilliant - more informative than all of the baseball shows I've seen this week combined.

I’ve also said the same thing. I’ve always read his columns..the guy knows baseball.
Sherman is great.

Cody's dad won 2 World Series with the Yankees, now its his son's turn.
It's a good sentiment but the truth is that his father watched the Yankees win the world series from the bench
Exactly right, HELL NO TO BREGMAN AND ALONSO NOOOO
300% correct
No to Alonso. No defense, can not run. Would consider Bregman, but would be totally comfortable with Rice.

Trevino will stay. We just traded our young backup catcher prospect to the Red Sox, Carlos Narvaez.
Yankees hit the lottery, losing greedy, self-centered DH clown 😂
100% correct
Dilly dilly
@josedomingues23 aww aren't you SPECIAL lol
Owners aren't rushing to dish out too big contracts to players going forward. That part's over.
The Yankee's get 2 picks due to Soto having a QO on him. So that equals the fried QO!
Joel Sherman > John Heyman ~ just sayin ~ Yanks are already better than last year ~ Fried over Cortes & Williams over Holmes (with no constantly missed balls in RF)
Need another LEFTY bat. Arraez or Santander…….or both
Will Bellinger get stronger and improve?? He doesnt seem to work on conditioning...the upper body and shoulder area to be sure.... he cant get around on the fastball....He can still time an offspeed pitch and guide it over a wall when it comes down in the middle of a the zone but he was overmatched vs. pace...
Need a left handed bull pen arm.
Will re-sign Tim Hill. Cheap and very capable.
What an opportunity the Yankees gave themselves.
They have the kid Jones that plays first base
Jones is a center fielder

🎉Go Yankees!!!

Santander and Santana BOTH switch hitters too. Take either or both lol. 1 year for SlamTana and 3 for Tony Taters

bellinger could be Maris,Murcer and Granderson.....a good player who becomes very good( ALL star) at yankee stadium....built for park
Clay Bellinger was a superb utility guy.
Blow the tax out and sign Bregman and Walker. Bring back Kahnle and one more top reliever and win the World Series.
No santander.
Are the rumors true about santander possibly getting signed ?

We need a Mike Tachman type player
Sign Josh naylor for 1st,getter each year
Great offseason so far . Would love to dump DJ . I think thats a major issue that no one is talking about. Hes owed a lot of cash .
Ain't nobody want any part of DJs remaining $35 mil, not even us :/
@ truth

Put Rice at 1b and bat him 9th
Bellinger over Dominguez in center?
I think Vinnie Pasquantino would be a great trade candidate
I know Verdugo had a very subpar year offensively but do you think Yankees should bring him back on a one year "pillow" deal?
