Andy Gibb was my favorite of the Brother's Gibb. I had a huge crush on Andy. My room was full of Andy posters.. Loved Tiger beat magazines. Andy was very talented in his own right no one can take anything away from him no one. Everyone forgot Andy i never ever will. awesome reaction
I like the way you guys flow with the music. Not too much talking or interruptions. And I love this song forever. Oh, it's funny. Sometimes I like one of a couple doing a reaction video and not the other. Well, usually I only like the girl! But you guys are both cool, lol. No showing off, just appreciating and feeling the music.
Fun Fact: If you ever need to administer CPR chest compressions on someone whose heart has stopped, it is recommended that you sing this song silently to help you set the tempo as you press on his/her heart. Most people (over a certain age) know this song very well, plus the title, "Stayin' Alive," aligns well with your life-saving efforts. The other song that is sometimes suggested because it has the same perfect tempo, and is also very well-known by most people, is "Another One Bites the Dust." But the title is rather unfortunate, given that you're trying to keep someone alive until the EMT/paramedics arrive.
I looked it up, stayin alive has 103 BPM and another one bites the dust has 112 BPM. the recommendation for chest competition is between 100 and 120 BPM. That’s why both songs work.
Thank you for your wonderful reaction. The BeeGees were: the tallest and oldest brother (with the big hair and beard), Barry Gibb, born September 1, 1946, the only surviving Gibb brother. Robin Gibb (with the long hair, no beard), born December 22, 1949-passed away May 20, 2012, and Robin's fraternal twin brother Maurice (the balding brother with the beard, pronounced "Morris") Gibb, born December 22, 1949-passed away January 12, 2003. They also had another, younger, brother Andy Gibb, born March 5, 1958-passed away March 10, 1988. The three oldest brothers were born on the Isle of Man (UK). Oldest brother Barry got seriously burned when he accidentally pulled boiling tea over himself at 18 months old. He was in coma for a while, nearly died and was in hospital for many months. Because of this, he did not learn to talk until after the twins were born. Later the family moved to Manchester and from there they emigrated to Australia in 1958, right after Andy was born. Their musical career, which they had started as little kids, didn't lead to international success so they moved back to the UK in 1966. Then they had a string of big hits, until they temporarily broke up around 1970 for 15 months. Started back up, looking for a new sound which they first found in 1974 with the transitional album "Mr. Natural". After that "Main Course" was the first album that moved them into a new direction: more rhythm&blues, dance music like with great hits like Nights on Broadway and Jive Talkin'. From 1976 on they went all out with falsetto driven dance music which lead to their biggest commercial success as they provided classic songs for the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack (1977 Stayin' Alive, How Deep is Your Love, Night Fever amongst them). You should react to the 1979 live version of Stayin' Alive, too th-cam.com/video/7niXSh7vWRI/w-d-xo.html Other great songs to analyze: great album tracks from the 1979 Spirits Having Flown album, the title song: th-cam.com/video/WH_j90fCIk4/w-d-xo.html, the outrageously beautiful song Reaching Out th-cam.com/video/vfHUS5Mf00Q/w-d-xo.html. Their harmonies are unparalleled, this is obvious. Let’s not forget the music that they wrote too. True artists they were. They wrote music for other recording artists too. Great reaction from you both. Best wishes for you on your continued journey through great music. 😊
Since 2017, the song with most airplay, worldwide. Passed by 'Yesterday' from Beatles, which is more than 10 years older. It's nothing lesser than the hymn of the seventies!
History Check: The subject matter of 'Stayin' Alive' is about survival in the streets of New York inspired by the Nic Cohn paperback Tribal Rites of the Saturday Night who was the plot for the classic Saturday Night Fever Movie. Since 1977 it is the fifth biggest single of all time with 31 million single sold worldwide 👍 It is claimed from in a survey of all radiostations around the globe as most airplayed song of all time in 2017- every 20 seconds - this plays everywhere around the world and for sure it is the most iconic song of the 70´s decade. It’s a part of our shared cultural heritage now - one of those pop miracles that just never gets old, never wears off, never loses its charge. It remains alive. And indeed one of the most covered pop songs in history This epic video was filmed on MGM Studios in Culver City in Hollywood California in the filmset ruins of That’s Entertainment starring Fred Astaire from 1974 during the same time when the BeeGees filming the Beatles movie, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 1978 on the lot at the same time.
The Bee Gees and Andy Gibb were ALL brothers and of the few, if only, who embraced funk, soul and R&B and we're successful for it. So, no matter a person's skin color, you've got to appreciate their mark on the World and no matter the listeners of their music, their music goes past color. Exhibit A.
Their ballads were some of the smoothest music to put the moves on (you choose the meaning). "How Deep is your Love" "More then a Women" "Too Much Heaven"
I grew up listening to the Bee Gees, & you have no idea how happy it makes me, to see the younger generation discover the music we fell in love with !!! All three brothers had amazing falsetto's, however, Barry Gibb, in my opinion, has the most unique falsetto, because in his falsetto, he also used his vibrato, which is very rare! Thank you so much for this reaction, & keeping their music alive 😍 I also believe, that if there is music in Heaven, it would sound like the Bee Gee's ❤❤❤ Loved your heartfelt & emotional reaction guys, this made my day!!!
Robin and Maurice are twins. Another good song is Tragedy and Gotta Get A Message To You if you dig into their catalog, you’ll be amazed how many songs they wrote for their self and others. Their first big hit To Love Somebody they wrote for Otis Redding and he past away before he could record it, so they released it and was a big hit. Love your channel and your reactions
LOVE the Bee Gees, so sad that Barry (the one in the middle) is the ONLY GIBB Brother left, and he was the eldest. Oddly enough their youngest brother Andy passed away first. He was not a member of the group, but did sing with them on stage a few times, but had his own short solo career
I was married one year (1977) before this was released in 1978. This would have been in my wedding too, but with them singing, at the reception. Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 67 yrs old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Robin (Dec 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) passed away as a result of kidney failure. Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.) Passed as a result of a twisted intestine. He was in the hospital for 2 days. Barry said he had a heart attack, but the doctors still operated. He left behind his wife, Yvonne and two children. Robin left behind his wife, Dwina and 4 children. Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins. Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins. Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Barry stated that Andy lived the 'LA lifestyle' involving drugs, and he had heart problems. Andy left behind a daughter. The brothers wrote all of his songs. Barry stated, "I am the last man standing." He was born September 1, 1946. He has 5 adult children and 7 grandkids. On September 1, 2022, he and his wife Linda celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. (They were married on his 24th birthday.) On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who turned 78, January 12, 2022. Maurice passed on the same day as her 58th birthday. Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. At about the age of 2, Barry reached on the table and a pot of hot tea fell on his chest and arms. You can see the shine on his chest. His mom said he did not talk for almost 2 yrs. Skin grafts were not used in the 40s, so he was in the hospital for a long time. His mom said he almost died. They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they sang after the songs were released for the other singers. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs: Too Much Heaven th-cam.com/video/nREV8bQJ1MA/w-d-xo.html How Deep Is your Love? th-cam.com/video/XpqqjU7u5Yc/w-d-xo.html Closer Than Close th-cam.com/video/m6XIdjEHLRs/w-d-xo.html One th-cam.com/video/KRUeMgzOCCo/w-d-xo.html You Win Again th-cam.com/video/KZY9oYSSjFI/w-d-xo.html Spirits (Having Flown) th-cam.com/video/ONmVEJnxysc/w-d-xo.html Bodyguard th-cam.com/video/Fx5XwIKCs3o/w-d-xo.html For Whom the Bells Toll th-cam.com/video/jTowyYFXIUY/w-d-xo.html Emotion (written for Samantha Sang) th-cam.com/video/b_wTZjo9azk/w-d-xo.html (Yea...Destiny Child's was a cover. Nice harmony, but crazy video. Who pours bleach on someone's clothes?) Shadow Dancing (Andy Gibb) th-cam.com/video/v-IR_MaSozc/w-d-xo.html At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them for others were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2! Barry has since released a CD titled: The Gibb Brothers' Songbook (Vol. 1). (January 2021) It has more of a country sound. It includes other artists singing the brothers' songs.
Have a look at You should be dancing with their youngest brother Andy who passed away very young just as he was about to join the BeeGees. He was extremely talented as well.

Bless you
Apparently this song is at the perfect RPM to do CPR to. So if you need to save a life remember “stayin alive”
I learned that recently. This song can literally help you "stay alive"!
There will never be a better trio
Hello Guys, This was 70's disco to the bone!!! I truly enjoyed watching you guys jammin' to this track too!!!
🥰 Thanks!!!!
The harmony is ridiculous! Arguably the best ever!

Can I just give a shoutout to Barry's hair? It's the hair every white guy in the 70's dreamed of having.
Listen to a song called Night Fever -- they were at the height of disco 1975 to 1979
The whole "Saturday Night Fever" is great... Not a bad song ever... So much talent!
♥️
Greatest music travesty to not win the best Sound Track
Bee Gees are legends in the same way Whitney Houston is! React to more. You would LOVE Jive Talkin’.
♥️
Nope. BeeGees were more popular and much bigger. And they wrote all there songs. Whitney is an amazing singer but never wrote a song
@@kirkhall2099 I know this, I was referring to legendary status.
Listen to "TOO MUCH HEAVEN"
My favorite BeeGee song is Too Much Heaven. I have never heard harmony like that before in my life.
🥰🥰🥰

Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 67 yrs old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris)
Robin (Dec 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) passed away as a result of kidney failure.

How can you test a music with only one ear of a low quality earset? What can you really hear from it like this?
bee gees lonely days
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk
I'm a woman's man, no time to talk
Music loud and women warm, I've been kicked around
Since I was born
And now it's alright, it's okay
And you may look the other way
We can try to understand
The New York Times' effect on man
Whether you're a brother or whether you're a mother
You're stayin' alive, stayin' alive
Feel the city breakin' and everybody shakin'
And we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive
Oh, when you walk
Well now, I get low and I get high
And if I can't get either, I really try
Got the wings of Heaven on my shoes
I'm a dancin' man and I just can't lose
You know it's alright, it's okay
I'll live to see another day
We can try to understand
The New York Times' effect on man
Whether you're a brother or whether you're a mother
You're stayin' alive, stayin' alive
Feel the city breakin' and everybody shakin'
And we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive (oh)
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive (oh)
Life goin' nowhere, somebody help me
Somebody help me, yeah
Life goin' nowhere, somebody help me, yeah
I'm stayin' alive
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk
I'm a woman's man, no time to talk
Music loud and women warm
I've been kicked around since I was born
And now it's all right, it's okay
And you may look the other way
We can try to understand
The New York Times' effect on man
Whether you're a brother or whether you're a mother
You're stayin' alive, stayin' alive
Feel the city breakin' and everybody shakin'
And we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive (hey)
Life goin' nowhere, somebody help me
Somebody help me, yeah
Life goin' nowhere, somebody help me, yeah
I'm stayin' alive
Life goin' nowhere, somebody help me
Somebody help me, yeah (ah, ah, ah)
Life goin' nowhere, somebody help me, yeah
I'm stayin' alive
Life goin' nowhere, somebody help me
Somebody help me, yeah (ah, ah, ah, ay)
Life goin' nowhere, somebody help me, yeah
I'm stayin' alive
Life goin' nowhere, somebody help me
Somebody help me, yeah (oh)
Life goin' nowhere, somebody help me, yeah
I'm stayin' alive

Leadcsinger, Barry Gibb is only survivor of four brothers.
Wow!!!! Thats Heartbreaking!!!💔💔
Can you react to Andy Gibb “I just want to be your everything”
You two should react to KC and the Sunshine Band. Lots of good disco music.
It's an ironic song for members of the Bee Gees.
thats the set from" some like it hot." th-cam.com/video/fbQqnJw7xL0/w-d-xo.html
Try this masterpiece by Elvis, his band & backup singers:
