I tried this one the other day and I love the way my practice piece came out!! A great way to try something new! The next time I do this I have to write down what color glazes I used so I can make a matching set of plates!

have you tried ombre sponging with Amaco celadons on bisqueware? Would you add clear glaze over these if you did this or would the sponged glazes be sufficient?

Great question? Surprisingly, very rarely. I was applying it too thin and decided to take a chance and always use cookies. I do make sure I don't lay it on too thick at the bottom.😊
Can I use a low fire glaze on a terracotta bisqueware?
Good question. Yes you can. Fire the glaze to Cone 06 😊
Sorry another question. Is the clear satin you are using called Amaco Sahara HF Glaze Clear satin? Amaco has a few different clear satin I think and I just wanted to make sure that I am getting the right one

@Pottery Crafters thank you so much. It might be hard for me to get the speedball as I live in Australia. I will try though. But yes I think clear satin is a bit tricky, I had bad results in the past and that is why I am asking. What about Amaco Ice. I usually get good results and it acts like a clear glaze ?
Australia!!! How wonderful. Yes, I understand. I have a friend in Australia, and there are things she can't get shipped to her. I would go with the celadon Mixing Clear. It was originally formulated to dilute the color of Celadon glazes. It can be used as a clear glaze. Mixing Clear does work well with most underglazes. 😊
@Pottery Crafters yeah Australia is too far away 😢. And there is a shortage of Amaco and Mayco supply, not sure why. Thank you. As soon as I find some mixing clear I will get some 😃

Hi Robert. Yes, you can! Actually, dipping is one of the best ways to apply clear glaze to underglaze pieces 😊

Hi Shontal. I apply 2 thin coats of clear glaze. If it's too thick you will get a milky look.

Two thin coats of Amaco celadon (mixing clear) should work. 😊

Hello Ma'am I do hard work and make clay mug I don't have electronic ceramic Bhatti means machine but I burn that and heat properly so please tell me I can do ceramic Paint on that please help me to tell me and explain also if not so why in old days around 18 century how they do to make ceramic crockery
Unfortunately, you can't make your mug food safe unless it is fired in a kiln. You can make some decorative things with air dry clay and seal it with Ducan paint, but it is still not food safe. In the old days, they burned the pottery in a pit in the ground. They actually did it on the show, The great pottery throw down. Maybe you can find someone that will rent space in their kiln or at a studio. They also sell tiny kilns that don't require a special outlet. Hope you can get your mug fired 😊
@@PotteryCrafters I try to find one place hoopa my pots then we can make ceramic I want to make ceramic pot normal but it is fine for that that poetry man used that I can arrange otherwise I have to buy online that is too expensive for me have you seen what I have make

why do you use underglaze...does this work in you use regular glaze?
Good question. Yes, you can do it both ways. You can check out this sponge glaze video also. th-cam.com/video/HyxxDgmp-2s/w-d-xo.html 😍 With the underglazes I seemed to have more control over the shading areas.
Good techniques, like this video as well as your others...but please please be a little more lively. Good to be polite or subdued when speaking, but when teaching, more emphasis holds your audience's attention much better.

Thank you, Monica. I did try upping the energy level. I just found that everything about Pottery is slow and relaxing. Not (KEEP DABBING THAT SPONGE!! THAT'S IT !!! YOU GOT IT!!! 😂😆) Certain things call for different energy levels.😍👍
