As a woman, I feel so empowered when I do my own minor repairs/replacements. I’ve used at least 5/6 of your videos so far. You guys are my “go to” for anything car related. Thank you, thank you, thank you for teaching me about my car. You’re the best!
Dude all your guys videos on this Elantra has helped me fix my girlfriends car so many different times and saved me so much money thanks a ton for these short and directly to the point videos you guys are awesome!
@@brkny2146 Shit wait until you guys have to change the rubber steering coupler on this thing, it's a bitch. BUT its a cheap part don't let mechanics charge you for 2 hrs of labor.
Saved me a ton of time. This was by far, the best video demonstration I have ever seen on a car repair. Extremely detailed, step-by-step instructions were spot on!
Yall have saved me so much time.. I told the guy at the auto parts store.. it's okay, i watched a video.. he laughed at me but I can do some basic maintenance.. holla!! Thank y'all!
Still loving that a whole channel is dedicated to my boring daily driver! No learning conceptually how to do it-we see the real thing! Thank you, guys!
Thanks for your tutorial. I fixed my break lights. The orange / red compartment was an orange bulb and it was my backup light though. My brake light was the big bulb, it was a white bulb in the white compartment on the other side. Thanks for your video though, still very helpful.
Thanks dude. Any time i look up a specific solution for a 2016 elantra, your vids come up with precise info solution. I dont even bother with the little uset manual any longer.
Guys, heads up for 2011 Limiteds, the orange tab demonstrated in the video is the BLINKER. The brake light is the GRAY tab further up the light surrounded by a few bolts (but the concept is exactly the same in the twisting and replacing sense).
Had to change one of my lights last year, and just had my other burn out. I knew OF how to do it, just needed clarification. This is exactly how I changed it last time,, thanks!!
Thank you my dealer said it would cost $71 because they would have to take off almost the whole Fender and stuff I know that cannot be right AutoZone changed it for free has your video showed it was a two or three minute ordeal thank you again
Excellent video! I used two videos by the Auto Repair Guys and they showed exactly what needed to be done. Easy to follow. I will use them in the future for home repairs.
When I get to removing the brake light socket to expose the bulb, I turn counterclockwise and the socket loosens, but I cannot pull it all the way out. Any suggestions?
Odd - the brownish plug in my car was actually the blinker light so I thought I bought the wrong bulb. The guy who sold me the plug figured out the mixup. Thanks for the help.
Great how to video, thanks for uploading. One small question though, when the new bulb was installed, shouldn't gloves be used? I always heard that oils from your skin leave a residue on the surface of the new bulb and shorten it's life. Cheers!
Thank you! I'm about as un-handy as they come and this was great. Appreciate you describing the details. I plan on mentioning this channel if I can. Sub'd!
So I changed the little baby brake light by myself just a little bit ago and now the whole driver’s side rear lights don’t work during the day, as well as the brake light, but the blinker still works. Any suggestions?
If it's not the fuse, and both my brake lights are out, should I do this and replace the bulbs then? Or do I have to deal with stoplight switch little square thing with screw that connects to brake itself?
You changed the tail light in this video and not the brake light. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why the brake light bulb I purchased doesn't fit and the problem was watching this video and trying to change the wrong bulb! There is also NO NEED to disconnect the cable and completely remove the light assembly. Both bulbs can be accessed easily. Annoying!
Thank you. Don't know why more people haven't pointed this out. That's why dislikes on YT were important. Wasted time trying to replace the wrong bulb.
No, I think yours were just colored differently and you acted accordingly. I've seen 2 other videos on this and the location of the brake bulb is the same but the shell is white/grey instead of orange like in this video and my own car. Perhaphs your orange shell is further down and what you tried replacing
If anybody is trying to replace the bulb and the socket won't come out even after turning it, the bulb likely melted the plastic that secures it. I fixed mine! You just find which side seems more stuck, get a screwdriver and pry it out then you cut a notch/hole into the meted plastic part where it's supposed to have a hole so the bulb can slide back in and out
You may want to tell us what bulb it is. 7443, 3157? Etc. Most people will have no idea. Looks like a 3157 to me. The owners manual unfortunately doesnt say what number bulb it is either.

Thank you. You saved me a lot of frustration and a lot of money fixing the brake light bulb myself.
Thank you guys for always coming to my rescue!
Thanks for your tutorial. Only cost me $3 for the new bulb. Cheers!
went to the dealership wanting to charge me 185.

Daniel Calix Thanks! Didn’t even know I had a Limited until the bulb didn’t fit.
Daniel Calix Thank you!! This is the same for the 2015 Hyundai Elantra SE
This totally correct. Thanks for posting this comment
They should change the title of the video.
10mm socket, $5.00 bulb.....thanks for sharing ! I wish everyone did simple videos like yours :)
How much for the ten mm socket, sorry lost everything I had
One video, one answer. Brief and to the point.

Very helpful video thank you!
Great how to video, thanks for uploading. One small question though, when the new bulb was installed, shouldn't gloves be used? I always heard that oils from your skin leave a residue on the surface of the new bulb and shorten it's life. Cheers!
Anthony Lee that’s normally for headlights.
Like Gena Rose said, that’s typically for headlights since they burn significantly hotter. Although a good practice for sure.
Easy to follow. Helpful, thanks
great video!! thanks had to do this on my daughters car, thanks for going into detail!!
Thank you for the assist! It truly made the process easy and simple!

Is the plug easy to connect back up?
I loved this video.
The brake light bulb is not the orange thing you showed to pull out … I thought I had a short when realized it was not the one u say it is …
Thank you! I'm about as un-handy as they come and this was great. Appreciate you describing the details. I plan on mentioning this channel if I can. Sub'd!

I'm late. Great video. New subbie
Thanks for the info!🤜👌👍
Great video. However I did what you stated, lights still didn't work. Anything to try?
May seem obvious.... did you reconnect the inside wires when putting it back?
Didn’t work for mine either. Completely different bulb housing
Top notch video. Thank you
Does this apply 2 all cars
Jazakallah khair bro
this was very helpful and correct. will ck again as needed.
Thank you!!! 🙏🙏🙏
Many thanks, bro!
Anyone know where I can get the black nuts from I lost one
Followed everything in the video and it ended up changing the blinker, not the brake light for a 2015 Hyundai Elantra SE
Thank you so much!
Very Helpful thank you
Thank you brother
Tq bro this very nice
If this bulb is bad. Will it stop your break lights from working?
CAN YOU GUYS DO REPLACEMENT OF WINDOW MOTORS AND REGULATORS ON ALL THE DOORS?
If anybody is trying to replace the bulb and the socket won't come out even after turning it, the bulb likely melted the plastic that secures it. I fixed mine! You just find which side seems more stuck, get a screwdriver and pry it out then you cut a notch/hole into the meted plastic part where it's supposed to have a hole so the bulb can slide back in and out
Thanks so much for the video
i miss my dad
Thank you for this video but on my car the orange plug was the turn signal the grey plug was the brakes
this is literally the blinker light do not follow this video
Great info! Thanks!
I changed the bulbs but still it doesn't switch on,the other side is fine though
Did you figure out what was wrong ?
@@bigjohn2241I guess not

I dont know why Hyundai made it so difficult.. with honda its literally a 1,2 ,3 job.. remove the flap. take put the bulb. put new bulb.
