My son's college buddy (he's about to graduate is 22yo- my son 19yo is 1st year) hit on me while staying over Thanksgiving break (43yo recently divorced)...a line like this might have helped lessen the awkwardness of the moment 😆

I bet that not even 10% of your likes are from people who have seen the movie. You people go ahead and let an arrogant YTuber spoil a fun movie for you. I'll go ahead and rewatch it. 😁
This movie ENRAGED me. On top of the many things you talked about, it drove me crazy that they kept harping on the age cap between the leads instead of the fact that she’s his boss.
The fact that a bunch of rather respected but slightly obscure British comedians/comedy actors (Steve Pemberton, David Mitchell, Ed Byrne) just sorta chilling in the background of this movie has absolutely floored me…they’re so out of place I thought I was hallucinating
I was shocked at Graham Norton! Plus it's Mackenzie Crook (from Pirates of the Caribbean and Detectorists). Also isn't the secretary Samantha Womack from the 90s (?) sitcom Game On?
Michelle is as basic as the Eiffel Tower, the Pyramids of Giza, Angelina Jolie. That mouth, the natural lips that started a craze of wanna-bees running to the plastic surgeons. She is the exception. She is Aphrodite.
I want to say a few things. 1. I literally just watched this movie a few nights ago, so I feel like we're both on the same page lol. 2. I agree 💯 with you. 3. I know we don't personally know each other , but as I sit here and watch you, I feel like I have to say how proud I am of you. I'm not trying to be weird but I really am proud of you. I'm 45 years old and I wish I had just a ounce of your confidence, humor, and self esteem. Thank you for always helping me laugh when all I want to do is cry. Stay safe everyone.
Honestly all the hate on Britney was so unjustified. She definitely worked for her career. It’s funny how the ppl forcing a child to be sexual will also throw shame at the same child for “only getting fame bc she’s sexual.” she clawed her way to the top, she literally started with just performing in malls. Along with being constantly harassed at 14 just bc she was famous. The public were vultures to her.
Well, her fans were (and are ) mindlessly ferocious so why shouldn't the authority figures who have to corral the pubescent hordes on a daily basis poke some fun at someone who is fabulously wealthy at their expense, but it didn't last long for sure but it was fun while it lasted (although I was kinda scared cuz I thought the end of the world was nigh)
Britney Spears still chose to play up her sexuality. Yes, it's what she was taught, but don't tell me she still had a choice at some point or another. She was discovered and she was a massive success and she probably still worked hard in some areas to a degree. But she was also catered to by Hollywood with many of the things she chose to take that they gave to her. The public are also vultures to everyone. So, if she couldn't handle it, she wasn't cut out for that industry.
@@shawnwick2328 are you brain dead? you’re completely forgetting the fact that her family basically forced her to be like that. She wasn’t “catered to” she was assaulted, pressured, abused, and manipulated into her place by her contractors and her parents. She was literally 16 in the “hit me one more time” vid, a child. she was groomed into her role from the age of 3. she didn’t get a choice when her parents and producers were forcing her.
The mother nature lady is Tracey Ullman. She's a legend. I'm wondering if everyone involved knew the sinking ship status of the movie and literally had a blast making fun of it directly in front of the writer and director.
I'm so happy someone pointed out Tracy Ullman! She is a legend I couldn't agree with you more. Jaime, the Simpsons started as a short within the Tracy Ullman show. Also I havent seen anyone point out the hairdresser guy is Graham Norton.

There are sooooo many British legends in this movie: David Mitchell, Tracy Ullman, Steve Pemberton, Graham Norton, and I just checked IMDB, and OLIVIA COLEMAN IS IN THIS TRASH FIRE!!! OLIVIA F***ING COLEMAN! They have to have shot this in Britain and made them all do American accents.
It’s Britney* Bitch (To be serious though, it’s truly tragic how much she was under a public microscope and constantly torn apart from such a young age :((. )
It reminds me of that episode of South Park when people harassed Brittany relentlessly until she unalives herself, then the people were like, “okay- she’s had enough now, let’s leave her alone.”
@@abbycross90210 I remember that part, but I thought she was actually unalived at the very end, and that's when they decided to leave her alone. It's been a minute since I've seen that episode, I could be remembering it incorrectly.

@@oni6903 I agree. One of her videos was just suggested to me and now I can’t stop watching. I’m mesmerised by how unfunny she is. It’s like a puzzle I need to solve. Why does she make these videos? Who enjoys them? Why? Where does she get this confidence and how does she maintain it?
I think it’s hilarious that when Hollywood makes movies with older men and young women romantically involved it’s not even mentioned, but if it’s an older woman and younger man it’s the central plot line.
It's also really difficult to imagine any guy not finding Michelle Pfeiffer attractive. I'm sure it exists, but it seems odd. But I'm a woman who isn't attracted to women, so I guess maybe I'm not the one to ask. It just seems weird for the movie to portray her as old and gross, essentially.
To be fair there are a bunch of movies that make fun of older men dating/marrying younger women. But either way this movie is weird and actually kinda disturbing.
@@user-id7mx6fh3n yet the amount of movies where there are men significantly older than their female romantic partners without it being a plot source abound. Far more movies like that exist than movies making fun of it. It’s so normalized, most people probably don’t even notice it.
@@user-id7mx6fh3n that’s possible. I think it’s more likely that because it isn’t a plot line and we’re so used to it, we don’t notice that most movies have older males as the romantic partners of younger females 🤷🏼♀️
I feel like maybe this movie was *trying* to have a meaningful social commentary and the Mother Nature character represented all of Michelle pfeifer’s like insecurities and self loathing or something, but also…. Maybe it was just weird af lol. But more importantly, as always, you’re a genius, your content is so good I can’t even deal. The last 30 sec of this video had me CRY LAUGHING 😂 😭 you are the best!
Reading on the wiki it’s based on her experiences making clueless, so she was definitely trying to make a feminist film but just did a terrible job like worse than Josie and the pussycats trying to critique capitalism judging by this video
JAIME! Please stop thinking you have to justify your choice of movies to review. You are ALWAYS entertaining. You may not have a million subscribers but those of us that already love you, we're gonna love whatever you take the time to record, act out, edit, and bless us with. This movie (that I've never heard of) is everything you said it was, and it's something that needs to be talked about. I laughed quite a few times, mostly due to your editing and the ad. (and the bit about grabbing mustaches.) You're amazing, you deserve more recognition, and we always look forward to whatever you put out. luv u.
Exactly. While I always hope her next video will be a 90s/early 2000s movie that I've seen, I still watch all the videos of ones I've never heard of. And EVERY ONE her comedic talent is so natural and smart. I mean I wouldn't even know about Cool As Ice and laughed the hardest I had laughed the entire year of 2021 if it wasn't for Jamie doing low radar movies. Jamie the fact you don't have more viewers says NOTHING about you and your talent and comedy. It says everything about what the majority of people want from YT and TikTok, and it's not good. That's why you're literally the only "influencer" or TH-camr I subscribe to. I sincerely hope you do this for a long time. Mad respect and adoration Jaime!

Jamie’s videos are the only ones I actually look forward to seeing sponsorship spots. I never fast forward because they are as awesome as the rest of her videos. Her husband is as cute and funny as she is. What a perfect couple. Love them
As a brit it's so random that Graham Norton, Olivia Colman, David Mitchell and Mackenzie Cook are in this film. BTW Jaime you should check out Graham Nortons chat show its great
When Paul said he was 29, I had to laugh. "😄No you're not" He does look perpetually young and the same, but not 29. He looks 34-36 in this film, and was supposedly 38 at the time of filming.
Whatever Hello Fresh is paying you, you're worth 5x as much 😆 So many other creators phone it in for their ads but you make it so I don't skip them 😅 Also if it means anything, I used to work influencer outreach for a hair tool company, and I would've cut you an chunky check for this one. Love all you vids Jamie 💕
Graeme Norton is in this as the wardrobe guy. How's this not talked about?! He's so internationally famous as the Irish/UK TV talk show interview show that's extremely internationally popular. With the greatest actors etc of all time on his couch.
Also they clearly dubbed over his lines - that sounded like a different, American, person to me - so maybe that made it harder to recognise him. But yeah, he’s a legend over here; I cannot recommend his Eurovision commentary highly enough.
@@jaimefrenchofficial I kinda guessed lol. I was doing mock outrage. Was a good one to review though. With such big actors I wouldn't have expected such a flop. Tax right off maybe??
Actually thought this one was hilarious 😂 this movie is so bad. You should review something borrowed with Ginnifer Goodwin, Kate Hudson and John Krazinski. I thought it was going to be great because of the cast but it was laughably awful and had so many cheesy, awkward scenes
Tracey Ullman is wonderful in her own right. Please don't let this performance and movie prevent you from discovering her genius. "They Don't Know About Us" is a good start.
I can only guess that this script was written by Amy Heckerling as some weird self-projection and an attempt to make a satire of her own experience with ageism and youth worship in Hollywood. But Paul Rudd is adorable and can do no wrong in my eyes so for that reason alone I can't hate it. 🥰 Love you Jaime and your movie reviews!
What a weird movie! Now I’m feeling like Amy Heckerling just fluked out a good movie with Clueless. Also as a side note, I noticed that a lot of the cast (at least 7) are pretending to do an American accent for some reason 😅 alongside the daughter character who’s obviously Irish irl, there’s Tracy Ullman who played Mother Nature, then in smaller roles there was Graham Norton - the irl Irish chat show host, Olivia Coleman, Yasmin Paige, Sarah Alexander and Steve Pemberton who played the dude who was unnecessarily pale haha. Not sure if it was maybe filmed in the UK? But yeah it just seems really weird to have such a UK heavy cast and then have them all doing American accents. I’d totally understand if it was just one or two, like the daughter kind of needs to sound the same as her mother right? But yeah I found that aspect also super weird.
I tried watching this maybe about 6-8 months ago it was a free watch on TH-cam and I don't even think I made it halfway and I had to stop. Just could not get into it. Don't get me wrong I love Rudd, Pfeiffer, and Ronan but I dunno this movie just was very underwhelming to me.
That writer may have “written” Clueless, but Clueless is an adaptation of A Jane Austen novel. It didn’t take creative genius to change names and update setting. Clueless is great because the plot is great.
Quotation marks around "written" is a strong choice. It's not an adaptation of Emma, like Romeo + Juliet (Baz Lurhmann), where like a stage show the original language remains and the setting is updated (which I also think is pretty creative.) It's inspired by Emma. It's hard to update comedies of manners because the manners of Austin's time are quite different than they are now. Also Clueless completely created thier own slang and style so it wouldn't seem dated to any particular era, and then the film became so popular it then influenced the era! Just because someone makes a good movie doesn't mean that they won't ever make a bad movie, and just because someone has made a bad movie doesn't retroactively make thier good movies bad.
It sounds like you misunderstand the definition of the word _written_. Clueless is great because it showcased it's own slang, style, fashion, etc. all while fully capturing the 90s in ways that would go on to be copied countlessly. Any Austen influences being interpreted have zero to do with it's status as a pop culture classic since the plot is certainly the last thing anyone is remembering about Clueless. 😆😭
I don't understand how they managed to make the actress from clueless look like Gretchen Wiener in black face but it makes me so uncomfortable every time she is on screen 😬
I really love the work you put into making an ad read an actual comedic bit. It always delivers and it just shows how you work so hard on things that a lot of people don't.
Feel like this was even more wild for Brits seeing huge names like Graham Norton, Mackenzie Crook and David Mitchell not even referenced. Weird also how none of them ever talked about being in this.... 🤔
Oh man, I really loved this movie when I first saw it in my 20's and couldn't understand why it wasn't more popular. Over a decade later now that I'm in my 30's, I can definitely see why lol Knowing it was written by a woman, it seems like she put all her own personal fears, insecurities, self hatred and hatred of other women in general into literally every character. If there was a moral to this story, it was lost amongst all the shaming that was never acknowledged as being wrong. The only redeeming thing about this movie the soundtrack 😂
It’s interesting to consider that all actors are basically freelance employees constantly in the verge of being unemployed so they have to take jobs at times when they don’t have the luxury of being selective and movies like this are the result of that lifestyle haha. Nick Cage is a great example of a dude who just takes every role to avoid being unemployed. You should do some Nick Cage movies, there’s so many bad ones out there lol.
I think sometimes they also do movies as favors to people they know in the industry. Considering how many big names were in this i feel like either amy or someone in casting had a lot of homies. Paul wasnt exactly starved for roles at this time
I ended up playing a game of "spot the well-known British/Irish comedy actor" whilst watching this, there are that many. David Mitchell, Sarah Alexander, Olivia Colman, Mackenzie Crook, Ed Byrne, Jonathan Ryland.
Honestly, your channel can really put a smile on my face. Your content is GOLD and you’re definitely one of a kind. I cannot WAIT for you to hit that 1MIL mark.
I feel like she probably had a contract with the studio for x number of films and couldn't say no. Then again, some of her old sketch material has aged veeeeery poorly.
Her Angela Merkel is SO funny. I wonder why there are so many British and Irish comedians in this film. Graeme Norton, David Mitchell etc etc. They must all regret it
I mean, the whole point of the movie is to criticize that view, we're shown again and again that the constant pursuit of staying young is pointless and that Michelle's character has no actual reason to be this anxious about her age besides societal pressure. Does the movie do a *good* job at critiquing ageism? No, but it is certainly trying to. lol
I did that mannequin dance randomly in my living room just to try it and ya know, it's as much fun to do as it was to watch! My husband shook his head and was probably wondering why he married me but I have no regerts lol
In the 90’s Paul Rudd was in a movie with Jennifer Aniston where he was gay and Jennifer fell for him called, “The object of my affection.” I caught it on cable once like 13 years ago but please watch it and review it, you could make it a series. Paul has been acting since the 90’s but didn’t get any noteriety until the like mid 2000’s.

You said your comedy died with this one, but I don't remember laughing as hard as I did at some of the bits, especially all the mannequin head scenes. Paired with your amazing editing, this was an awesome episode Jaime! (PS MOAR of the mannequin head please. And moar Tina!)
srsly the britney slander was so prolific and so disrespectful!! you took the words right out of my head, she’s the greatest pop star of all time like HOW did society have such disdain for her???
and if you tried to speak out about it you became a target too. remember leave britney alone? cara had her life ruined because of that video, she was harassed for a decade and even got assaulted in gay bars because they thought she was being a "bad representative of the gay community"
Wow they gave Graham Norton an American accent...that's as weird as the rest lol... And jaime you made this fun. I'm 42 and it is so weird..I'm wondering what they thought it was gonna do...lol Also, I think maybe they just thought if they put a lot of the clueless characters in this one it might work? Idk ! But you are the only reason I laughed at, and , even found out , that this movie existed.
I legit lost it at the clothes try out scene when you showed up with a mannequin head 🤣🤣 Highlight of the video for me. Maybe Tina could be Trish's sister. That'll be hilarious 😂
When you spoke about the suave shampoo being swapped out in the salon you used to work for that you hated and the Brillo pad blowouts I bust my gut laughing. That was awesome! 😂👍🏻
I hated this movie, it depressed me at how women we thought of as “dried up”, it’s unbelievable it was written by a woman. Did you notice how many UK Comedians were in this? Why was that?!? I counted five
Jaime, you are a TREASURE. From your intro to your ads and editing, you are so creative and your sense of humour is just awesome. I don't know you, but I feel like I know you!

It's about two guys who are both still in the closet and the three queen bees at their high school who are looking for a "gay best friend." It's so bad it circles around somehow to being good. It's also here on TH-cam. I was bored one day and watched it because I had nothing else to do, lol.
Oh my God this was full of laughs and I totally love the hello fresh ad I watched it through the whole thing it was hysterical you guys are the best!!!!!
I do kind of like the idea of mother nature being dauntingly honest about the reality of nature like 'but you know you're still slowly rotting inside' 🤣 that's awful. Kind of like mother nature being like 'heres a month of pain and blood because you didn't reproduce'
I'm so amazed at the amount of pretty high profile English/British actors in this! I would never have imagined they'd be in a movie like this, David Mitchell and Steve Pemberton especially. 🤣 They must've been paid ££££££ 🤣🤣
It was filmed in London other than the outside shots of California so I think they must have cast it locally except for the handful of main characters. There's some really surprising actors mixed in. It really confused me at first.
I’ve “met” the inconceivable guy once 🥰 I was working a comic con in my state, working the “celeb row”. He showed up on his scooter with his group as I was waiting for my celeb to show. I was planning on just standing there holding up a post but HE included me in the conversation! 😍Didn’t even complain after about having to say “inconceivable” a billion times. His volunteer was even so close to asking people to stop asking but he had no problem at all.
As a Brit, the casting for the bit parts of this movie is super random! David Mitchell (behind the camera) Steve Pemberton (writer who doesn't like the heavy balls joke) Mackenzie Crook (moustache guy) Sarah Alexander (Geanie) and Graham Norton (wardrobe guy) are all really respected British and Irish television actors, writers and presenters. It's unexpected to see any of them in a Hollywood movie, individually but all together is weird!! Also, That's NOT Graham Norton's voice! I looked it up and in real life, Michelle Pfeiffer and Paul Rudd actually are 11 years apart, so the movie gets at least a tiny bit of credit for that. I'm surprised they didn't cast someone younger than him to be the "old crone."

It was the Weekend at Bernie's walk that did it for me
There are sooooo many British legends in this movie: David Mitchell, Tracy Ullman, Steve Pemberton, Graham Norton, and I just checked IMDB, and OLIVIA COLEMAN IS IN THIS TRASH FIRE!!! OLIVIA F***ING COLEMAN! They have to have shot this in Britain and made them all do American accents.
And Mackenzie Crook from the office uk as well!!
They did shoot it in London cos it’s a tax haven lol, was reading on the wiki page
@@ianmiller2349 Gareth Keenan ❤️
came to the comments to check this was covered, thank you and don't forget McKenzie Crook!
This is why I had to check the comments! Hard to believe that they got all these British greats to be in such a WEIRD movie…
Jaime is a comedic genius. She's the only you tuber that can make an ad actually funny and watchable. I love you Jaime!!!
She is probably the only TH-cam on this platform that that has subscribers watching the entire advertisement because itself is entertainment as well
Jaime’s ads are hands down the best on TH-cam. I never skip them.
I started to skip and had to rewind so I could watch all of it!
I already commented this but she and Rachel Ballinger's ads are the only ones I watch.
Power tools in the kitchen!!!😁
Paul Rudd yanking himself away was hysterical! I rewatched it until my vision blurred from my tears of laughter!! 😂🤣😂
right why was it so random😂
It's really sad how Brittany was the punching bag of my generation. I honestly don't know how she survived what our society did to her.
It’s Britney* Bitch
(To be serious though, it’s truly tragic how much she was under a public microscope and constantly torn apart from such a young age :((. )
It reminds me of that episode of South Park when people harassed Brittany relentlessly until she unalives herself, then the people were like, “okay- she’s had enough now, let’s leave her alone.”
@@martineastman9855 well, she tries to unalive herself, blowing half her head off. But she's still alive.
@@abbycross90210 I remember that part, but I thought she was actually unalived at the very end, and that's when they decided to leave her alone. It's been a minute since I've seen that episode, I could be remembering it incorrectly.
@@martineastman9855 actually I think you're right. I was thinking of the meat of the episode where she's trying to talk with half her head and people are still hunting her.
When you said 'Paul Rudd's character gets weird'... In the context of this movie...I was like 'HOW WEIRD CAN HE BE?!?'. Oh, he delivered😬
i loved this. you are never NOT funny, so don't worry about that. but this felt like a real conversation i'd have with a friend, over a bad movie and snacks. loved this
Hard agree, I'd watch Jaime review anything tbh
I honestly don’t know what she’s bad at. She’s a Renaissance woman.
You don’t speak for everyone. She’s barely funny to me.
@@oni6903 did this comment make you feel so good about yourself are you thriving now?
@@JennRighter we must be watching different movies than :)
I was thinking the same thing, lol. Mother Nature was Michelle's insecurities.
That's also my take
Reading on the wiki it’s based on her experiences making clueless, so she was definitely trying to make a feminist film but just did a terrible job like worse than Josie and the pussycats trying to critique capitalism judging by this video
LOVE this review. Don’t sell yourself short because it didn’t feel comedic enough. It was the perfect mix of hilarious and weird in the best ways possible. Please keep these reviews comin’!
BTW Jaime you should check out Graham Nortons chat show its great
And Tracey Ullman!
Legit came here to say this! I feel like anyone who loves movies as much as her will love the Graham!
This!
Was this filmed in England?
And Steve Pemberton
When Paul said he was 29, I had to laugh. "😄No you're not"
He does look perpetually young and the same, but not 29. He looks 34-36 in this film, and was supposedly 38 at the time of filming.
Same, I snorted when he said that. I'm 30, and he definitely looks older than everyone I know who are my age.

Graeme Norton is in this as the wardrobe guy. How's this not talked about?! He's so internationally famous as the Irish/UK TV talk show interview show that's extremely internationally popular. With the greatest actors etc of all time on his couch.
Yes!!! Also the kid is Saoirse Ronan! And there are british actors comedians in it too. David Mitchell, Ed Byrne, Mackenzy Crook and Olivia Coleman!
It wasn’t talked about because I didn’t know who he was 😁
@@jaimefrenchofficial please check out the Graeme Norton show! He is the best talk show host!
And her self-titled show and the Simpsons
“I don’t know what the other 98% of 2% milk is?” 💀
Water lol.
LMAO I loved that bit
I can only guess that this script was written by Amy Heckerling as some weird self-projection and an attempt to make a satire of her own experience with ageism and youth worship in Hollywood. But Paul Rudd is adorable and can do no wrong in my eyes so for that reason alone I can't hate it. 🥰 Love you Jaime and your movie reviews!
I agree 100 percent
Yes! Super full of negative self projecting.
Thought this too!
I love that this was written by the same writer as Clueless and Wallace Shawn, Stacey Dash, Twink Caplan and Paul Rudd are all in it 😄
What a weird movie!
Jaime comin in hot with _hits_ I’ve never heard of and providing *killer* commentary ♡
Yep… love the mannequin head. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 this video is funnier than you think. Thanks!
@@jessicapierson9817 my 5 year old cackled at the mannequin ☠️💯😭
I tried watching this maybe about 6-8 months ago it was a free watch on TH-cam and I don't even think I made it halfway and I had to stop. Just could not get into it. Don't get me wrong I love Rudd, Pfeiffer, and Ronan but I dunno this movie just was very underwhelming to me.
That writer may have “written” Clueless, but Clueless is an adaptation of A Jane Austen novel. It didn’t take creative genius to change names and update setting. Clueless is great because the plot is great.
Completely ignoring the cultural influence Clueless had on fashion and slang (neither of which had to do with the plot) in the 90s is hilarious to me.
@@bubbacdubya8649 seriously! It's the two things people ALWAYS talk about when talking about that movie, not the f'n PLOT. 😆
She also wrote Look Who's Talking which was decent
I don't understand how they managed to make the actress from clueless look like Gretchen Wiener in black face but it makes me so uncomfortable every time she is on screen 😬
WAIT I HAD THIS EXACT THOUGHT and genuinely thought it was gretchen wiener in blackface 💀
Omg same. I was really confused.
Literally thought the same thing...until I realized it was Stacey Dash. Then it made more sense. Idk how it makes more sense. It just does.
I thought it was Brittany Snow in blackface.
Wtf I thought it was Gretchen Wiener?
I really love the work you put into making an ad read an actual comedic bit. It always delivers and it just shows how you work so hard on things that a lot of people don't.
That was the single greatest Hello Fresh ad I’ve ever seen. “I don’t know what the other 98% of 2% milk is.” 😭💕
Feel like this was even more wild for Brits seeing huge names like Graham Norton, Mackenzie Crook and David Mitchell not even referenced. Weird also how none of them ever talked about being in this.... 🤔
Seeing David Mitchell without a beard caught me super off guard (more so than him being in this film to begin with for some reason lol)
I found your outfit montage at the end funnier than whatever joke this movie was trying to make 😂😂
Oh man, I really loved this movie when I first saw it in my 20's and couldn't understand why it wasn't more popular.
The mannequin during your “jazzed” up version of the clothes montage 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I love your work Jaime French
I thought the big thing with Nick Cage is he is terribly irresponsible with his money😂
@@UnicornsPoopRainbows oh that’s definitely a big part of his overall strategy of just taking every single job that is presented to him haha
I think sometimes they also do movies as favors to people they know in the industry. Considering how many big names were in this i feel like either amy or someone in casting had a lot of homies. Paul wasnt exactly starved for roles at this time

Her Angela Merkel is SO funny. I wonder why there are so many British and Irish comedians in this film. Graeme Norton, David Mitchell etc etc. They must all regret it
This film really seems to have an issue with women, but especially older women. Its disappointing that the director was actually female
It’s a satire mocking the pressures women face to stay young
I mean, the whole point of the movie is to criticize that view, we're shown again and again that the constant pursuit of staying young is pointless and that Michelle's character has no actual reason to be this anxious about her age besides societal pressure. Does the movie do a *good* job at critiquing ageism? No, but it is certainly trying to. lol

Also Olivia Colman!! And Graham Norton!!
I think they all thought they were making a really good satire but it turned out a mess lol
I’ve “met” the inconceivable guy once 🥰 I was working a comic con in my state, working the “celeb row”. He showed up on his scooter with his group as I was waiting for my celeb to show. Your commentary is what makes these reviews great, and this one was no less hilarious than other ones, please keep them coming!
I looked it up and in real life, Michelle Pfeiffer and Paul Rudd actually are 11 years apart, so the movie gets at least a tiny bit of credit for that. I'm surprised they didn't cast someone younger than him to be the "old crone."
As a fan of British comedians, I would like to humbly ask - WHAT THE HELL is David Mitchell doing in this movie?!?
I want to watch the film to see him speak.
SERIOUSLY!
He is a knowledgeable man.
