What you say is true,,,although I have used women-only spaces with no issues... but then I am an older, fully transitioned person and well aware that extra decorum is needed for such as I. The backlash has started already and it will get worse for me in the coming weeks, but hey I'm 80 years old now and pretty bullet-proof where nasty remarks are concerned.

What makes me so sad is that the majority of these people would have no idea who KJK is and the amazing work that she is doing for woman of all ages. From an older Kiwi woman, I am embarrassed and really angry about the way she was treated.
Not to mention the other women with her that were there to speak, and the women who wanted to hear other woman speak on womens issues but were driven away, and to all kiwi men and women who may have had a desire to be there, but automatically avoid because it is unsafe, a public park, free speech activity.
I am an older woman who find her views repugnant and they are based on a lie. She is basing her nonsense on one case of one transgender person committing a crime in the UK where rapist cops run amok and she says nothing.
But haters make them famous. People like me see smear campaigns, go fact check, and become a die-hard fan of the hated side. Took me about 20 seconds to figure out Kelly is the good one in this fight, and now I am behind her too and so is my husband and all his retired military buddies.

I lived in NZ for a year in the 0's and visited every year for a decade, What happened to KJK and the other women was incomprehensible to the NZ I know, people were so nice and down to earth that I met. What has happened to NZ :(
All our institutions seem captured. Tech, education , fashion , government, media . Women, we have to rely on tradies and farmers. Fishermen too.

The book Trans by Helen Joyce has been highly influential. Joyce has a gay son and can see how the gender transition industry is damaging the bodies and lives of young gay people as well as women. I had to buy the book online because I couldn’t get it in my local bookshop - the staff hide it apparently
