  • Join me as I put 245rds through each of these guns in the initial stage of a 1300rd endurance test. You'll see that the Black Aces Tactical S MAX digests everything flawlessly. You'll also see the 3 types of malfunctions we experienced with the SDS Lynx 12.
Remember, I'm not an expert on anything. My opinion is worth exactly what you paid for it, nothing. Take everything I say with a grain of salt since it is based on only one person's experience. Always do your own research. These videos are simply a way for me to share my experiences as a consumer with other enthusiasts.

I can say I have had the same experiences with my Lynx 12 with certain brands not agreeing with the factory magazines. The steel feed lips also have a tendency of popping off in the Winter weather.
I have 1 random saiga 5 rounder and it works great.
I have tried the clear 10 round SDS magazines and had similar mixed reliability results.
I have 2 promag 10 rounders and I have to say, the saiga magazines are some of the only products promag makes I trust. The Promag drums run especially good with my Lynx. I have 2 12 rounders and 1 20 rounder and the run perfect if I set Lynx to the correct DRAM setting.
I don't use the drums often though because they are heavy and bulky.

I added a buttstock side saddle w/ 6 rounds, and a 4 round reciever side saddle to my S MAX. The Xtra pound tames violent recoil.

Have the S Max from Palmetto State Armory and no misfires at all. This gun may be the buy of the decade.

It runs like a tank. I think you may be right.

Did you oil/clean either of them or straight out of box firing.great video

I had to wipe the thick coat of heavy oil off the lynx. It was so thick internally the hammer wouldn’t reset. The black aces is strait out of the box. Thank you.

Did you adjust the gas on the Lynx 12?

I went to the 3rd setting briefly for break in. I went back to setting 2 (smallest gas port) and it’s been running like a champ.

@@dfwguncleaning7523 I am guessing the malfunctions are due to the rifle not getting enough gas to be able to push the bolt back fully. In which case you are supposed to open it up for lighter loads.

It began running even target loads reliably at the lowest setting after an initial break in. Currently at 1200rds. The next setting is severely over gassed for most loads. In my experience, the only thing that won’t cycle the lowest setting is reduced recoil buckshot, so I just run everything else.
