  • Take a look inside the Black Aces S MAX 12 ga shotgun after firing 750rds. I will break it down, clean it and reassemble.

    Nice! Thanks for the videos on the s max. I got a couple and dont have near the round count as you do but my experience has been the same. Good deep cleaning out of the box and zero stoppages in any of them so far. Great deal when they are on sale. Thanks again!

    After 4 or 5 tries of disassembly and learning how it functions and when to or not to lock back the bolt I am amazed at how quickly and easily this gun can be disassembled and reassembled! Love it! ❤

      These are basically Remington 1100 / 11-87 clones, but with the recoil spring moved to the front (honestly a major improvement). Not heard much bad about them other than a steady diet of 3" magnum shells can wear them out quickly. Stick to 2 3/4" and it seems to last a good long time.

    Agree with dennis1979gm below. I picked up the black stocked model and liked it so well I bought the brown walnut version also! Thanks for making the vids!!! Maybe a thin silicone gasket before the second lock ring will prevent it coming loose.

      Silicone gasket will likely hold it.

    Here's a tip for that nut that keeps coming loose. Use about 1 to 2 wraps of narrow teflon tape in the threads. It will help keep it tight by not vibrating loose as easily, yet will never gall. Replace it after every tear down.

    • @WardenWolf
      @WardenWolf 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Or a drop of blue Loctite. I prefer that.

      @@WardenWolf I've done that too, but the teflon leaves the threads clean....(for those who are OCD..) 😅

    Instead of contaminating the bottle of Hoppes #9 by dipping your cleaning brush in it, take a small container and pour out enough bore solvent that you will need and dip your brush/wet your patches from it.

    Maybe baked Ceracoat? What do you think? I hope it's durable!

    Recently bought a Black Aces S4 tactical shotgun, would love to add a magazine extender that holds 2 extra rounds so I can have 7 plus one rather than 5 +1. Any suggestions where can I get an extension that holds two extra round. Thank you for a very detailed video

  • @joeclifford9242

    A question about reassembly.
    How tight does the nut that retains the barrel and spring have to be? As tight as you can get it with your fingers or should it be wrenched tight like Eric Lemoine does it on his BAT video with plastic jawed channel locks? (Which seems excessive to me!)
    Thanks!

    • @dfwguncleaning7523
      @dfwguncleaning7523  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I’m not using a tool to tighten a nut that didn’t require a tool to loosen. That’s just my opinion. I didn’t read the manual. The nut seems to be designed to properly lock down when torqued by hand.

    What gun is this a clone of? Beretta 1301? Benilli super 90? And aftermarket parts for this like stocks or a rear ghost sight?

    aside from the punch, are you ever supposed to use tools on guns? Just a wrench to snug up those 2 nuts?

    • @dfwguncleaning7523
      @dfwguncleaning7523  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have drawers full of tools I use exclusively on guns. Definitely pick up some hollow ground screwdrivers and a decent punch set. A punch block and a vise come in handy too.

  • @rohawaha

    Yeah , not cleaning a gun for long periods of continuous use is not smart , and can cause extensive damage to the gun. Carbon build up in bolt locking recess's can cause catastrophic failure .
    shotgun ammo is very dirty , clean and lightly lubricate your gun at least every 150-200 rounds and it will last.
