Thank you so much for being transparent with your numbers! I really appreciate it. Great to see your month over month growth! Do you ever calculate what your average sale price per piece is? I think it would be an interesting statistic. Keep up the great content!

It's not something I've calculated so far, mainly because of the time it takes to delve into the data - I'd love to be able to have some ROI data on specific PAB purchases, or set part outs but that stuff is way beyond my D grade maths. Ha!

Always a great watch and I definitely have seen that slowdown on BrickOwl. It almost seems customers are moving over to Bricklink as well. Im about 3-4 weeks away from potentially closing BrickOwl I think as it's not worth the 1% for Brick Freedom to keep it open. Hoping to eat my words and get a nice order now this week! :D

YEah, I saw you mention that in a blog and am running a close eye over the value of these Brick Owl orders given the fees for that and the additional ReBrickable hit they add too.

Lots of great insight here - thanks! Three thoughts:
    1. My store has mainly been used, but have done a lot more parting out of new sets in 2024, and definitely noticed your point that people buy more new and then supplement with used (apart from for particular interesting parts)
    2. The latest BL newsletter had some data on sales by month and by week day. Tuesday and Sunday were the most popular days there! (Summer months relatively barren for sales, picking up again in September)
    3. Been meaning to ask for a while: do I detect a midlands accent?

I’ll have to go back and actually read that email now! Thanks for the head’s up!!! Midlands - no, originally from Yorkshire but have lived in a few counties since those days and the accent has morphed into an odd one.

Certainly an area I'm interested to delve into some more data on.
