Solo para sus conocimientos giorgio moroder, es el compositor/productor mas importante de la historia moderna, pues el invento la musia pop tal y como la conocemos, invento la musica electronica de baile, porque antes de el la musica electronica era experimental y progresiva, el junto a su ingeniero pete bellote crearon las tecnicas de produccion musical que se usaron desde mediados de los 70s hasta fines de los 90s, compuso y produjo a artistas grandes de su tiempo como donna summer ( a quien descubrio), blondie, olivia newton john, david bowie etc...pero su mayor destaque fue la creacion de bandas sonoras como la del expreso de media noche, american gigolo, scarface, flash dance, top gun y la historia sin fin, donde mezclaba temas instrumentales con canciones pop exitosas cantadas por artistas de mediano cartel, similar al modelo de negocio utilizado al principio de sus carreras por artistas actuales como david gueta o calvin harris, de sus producciones intrumentales se han extraido sampler para proyectos tan disimiles como daftpunk. los prisioneros o kylie minogue, compuso ademas el himno de italia 90, considerada la cancion mas hermosa de los mundiales de futbol. Fundo en munich el estudio de grabacion top de su epoca donde pasaron artistas como freddy mercury, elo, u2 etc... trabajo tambien ahora ultimo en el exito de daft punk get lucky, compuso los himnos de las olimpiadas del 84 y 88, nada mas que decir.
