Hmmm I think for us Christians in Northern Europe we would take this as erring on the side of gaudiness. I'm especially thinking in terms of displaying modesty through one's aesthetic and displaying it through financial choices. However I will say that a proper sense of feasting, dancing and enjoying oneself in i.e. weddings, joyous Holidays etc. is something we're culturally severely lacking in!
r both of ur parents Arabs also something ive always hated about going to middle eastern weddings when u live in a white people country different cultures and white people stop and stare at 2 people that just got married dancing outside of a church like they've never seen a wedding happen before to them its strange like they view u as some strange people dancing to ethnic culture music im middle eastern myself my parents r immigrants from Iraq but were not Arab
