Niigata Culture Tourism
In Niigata Prefecture, tourism that allows visitors to immerse themselves in the culture rooted in the region (cultural tourism), such as traditional performing arts, cuisine, and cultural properties, is called "Niigata Culture Tourism" . This initiative introduces a novel way of experiencing abundance through cultural tourism.
----- Embark on a Journey of Abundance. -----
This phrase holds dual meanings. Firstly, it means "a journey to explore the wealth of cultural resources in Niigata". Secondly, it means "a journey to feel your heart becoming enriched (contentment and joy)".
It symbolizes the cultural resources blessed with nature, such as the Japan Sea, breathtaking mountains, and rivers of Niigata, stretching from north to south, as well as the distinctive feature of each season.
In fiscal 2022, we implemented initiatives to let people know the charm of Niigata’s culture, targeting the “Niigata-Sado area (*)”.
Niigata-Sado area: Niigata City, Gosen City, Aga Town, Sanjo City, Tsubame City, Kamo City, Tagami Town, Yahiko Village, Sado City
