Hey Zach! Thanks for the advice. I am running my own little mowing business and I'm only 14. I got 5 yards and I'll be passing out business cards to get more customers this summer. I love your videos and they helped me get to where I am today, a workaholic lol
Awesome! You are literally lightyears ahead of me lol I didn't get serious with mowing until right after college. If I was able to build all this starting that late- imagine what the future has in store for you 😎💰🌎
I’m 16, and I’ve got my own lawn care business. I’m at around 20 lawns, making over $600 a week. The hardest thing is trying to say no to people, especially for “weeding” or other services not worth my time and people telling me what my service is worth per hour.
I'm 15, I've had my business for 3 years now, just expanded to about 20 clients. I've been having trouble figuring out what to do when it's raining for days on end? Any advice?
what i can add onto the "no ride" thing: last year i had to do some work to track some co-op hours. i offered to do the neighbor's front for free as it was really overgrown. they gratefully accepted that. fast forward to 2 weeks ago, they approached me while i was taking out the trash, and they voiced interest in a paid weekly arrangement. now, i made the free-offer a year ago with the mentality of "it's a one-off, and its gonna help me finish my co-op hours." the fact that they approached me interested in establishing a paid weekly arrangement just goes to show how you don't always have to advertise. just put yourself out there, and you may be able to find work really easily that way.
I’m 13 and built a trailer for my bike in the spring. I have been using it for a couple weeks now with about 12 clients and am making probably $250 a week.
I’ve found a great way to get customers is to find a niche market, I for instance specialise in removing Japanese knotweed for which I am now fully qualified to do. No other gardening company in my area offers this service yet so my business has grown though just this one thing.
Hey Zach, recently I've been trying to get customers by knocking on doors but I've had no luck, they're either not home, or they say that they have a business already cutting their grass. Do you have any tips for what to say when I knock and they answer?
I have business cards and I’m thinking about passing them out on people’s doors or cars. I’m a professional with cutting yards and it’s easy for me. I don’t have a car but I do have a bike and I was thinking about just riding my bike around and passing them out. Is that a good plan?
They might not be allowed in your city! It could be the city taking them down... or competition taking them down 👀If that's the case, your best bet would be to see if any of your customers or your first customer will allow you to put a sign up on their yard for a short time! If you do a great job and they like you they should be happy to help 😎Some people say you could trade a free mow for sign placement... idk about that personally! Do a good job, get paid, and then ask if they're ok with it! 🔥
Anyone know if a business has to be legalized in order to have a Google listing? I haven't made one yet because I am under the impression I have to legalize everything first. But I haven't because I'm still trying to get a few more customers under my belt before I go legal.
Im 14, i have about 5 yards and i made a trailer for my bike.
how? I’m 15 and i have to ask my dad to drive me everywhere
Do you attach it? Is it heavy?
Badass! I’d love to see a video of it 😎 you could have a great business channel with a huge audience of people your age trying to do the same thing
My friend and I do the exact same thing! :D
How did you make you trailer for the bike

Always check the weather. If it rains all day. I plan ahead and mow some of the lawns a day early and the rest the following day.
Amazon has bike trailers. Great advice.
This is just the video I was looking for, thank you for the great advice . Stay blessed 🙏🏻

Zach! I live in San Antonio and have a new business! Let me buy your truck if you’re no longer living in the city!!!
what do you do about a customer asking if you could make their yard look green again if it’s dried up? do you just say you only mow lawns and trim?
You can offer fertilizing or if they want aerating!
