Yeah, to the two who responded - he’s stealing a living in my opinion. Just awful. A bit of bravery when England were ahead against France and Italy in the two previous tournaments - those two teams were there to be taken. England should have won the two previous majors. He got a goal and retreated into a shell despite having some of the best attacking talent in world football. He stole defeat from the jaws of victory in those two games.
I am at a loss for words, it doesn't take a genius to work out you needed to change things up at half time as so few chances on goal were created. We got fortunate within the 95th minute.

Potter is another dull manager, couldn't do a thing with an unlimited budget at chelsea, Eddie Howe took Bournemouth from league two to the prem, took Newcastle from relegation threatened to the champions league, plays attacking football, he's the standout choice I think.

My other one would be Steven Gerrard, not for what he did at villa but he did great at rangers, Howe is the one but Gerrard is the only other one I can make a case for.

The first 2 minutes sums up his thinking. He praises the players for having ‘great patience for not getting the ball forward earlier’. This explains the constant sideways and backwards passing. In the last few minutes they HAD to get the ball forward earlier and that’s how they won it!

It is unbelievable that Southgate is trying to take credit for Bellinghams goal. Because he made changes, if he picked the right team in the first place. Then England would have been goals ahead. Instead Southgate picked the wrong team, that why it was the 95 minute before England had a shot on target. Lucky Bellingham put it away.
An talking of 1966 football was a totally different game back then. The manager was another level to Southgate. He didn’t play players out of position for a start. The team flowed, was attacking. Unlike now were Southgate plays players out of position, doesn’t play the right players, doesn’t let the team flow or attack.
We can all see Southgate makes the team defend first, this can be seen with 5he amount of passing backwards, the defence playing the ball around with no idea of getting it forward, as the chance has gone. Pickford should be hitting that ball up the field asap very time to form a fast attack and counter attack. But his not, the defence passing the ball around because they got it to late as the other team are all back behind the ball.
Then a couple of chances with a sub and it’s counter attacking football, fast moving the ball. Which clearly shows Southgate go it completely wrong again with the starting line up.
He needs the sack asap along with his staff.
