Girl, this saved me. But since my mom always negative she called my afro "messy", this is a example for everyone don't be scared to speak up and also don't care what others think because life is too short to care what people think your whole life 💕
My mom does the same. So, I learned to love it anyway! Your hair is so beautiful, don’t allow the texturist of those around you get into your head. Otherwise you’ll end up like me with heat damage lol

I experience the same thing with my mom as well. Any style I try she has something negative to say and tells me I look like a “big dude”. Then becomes a know it all and brings up how she used to care for my hair. Not realizing that I was relaxed and she doesn’t understand anything about natural hair.
I think we all go through that especially of your mom is from generation Z.
To them natural hair will always be mess not comb thoroughly.
My life I wanted but my mom wanted to get braids she said the hair is so nappy and messy guess what I don't care and what other thinks ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
