    You have to chop in at an angle then hit it it more straight on forming kind of check mark shaped cut. ✅️

    The rock is too blunt still. I think I have seen sharper stone axe blades. But at that rate you might has well have been punching trees :D

    You do rather light looking axe hits I notice. I understand letting the weight do the work but putting a little more power on can't hurt. You tend to do the same thing forging with rocks as hammers.

      Good and Basic it really does. I would be really worried to put my stone axe out for anyone to steal. Plus, nice job cutting that. I'm sure if it wasn't used earlier and still had a good edge it wouldn't take so long.

      Thanks! I think it had more to do with poor technique on my end. If I'd started with a wider cut, the axe wouldn't have gotten stuck at the bottom of the groove so often.

    you could have bred, raised and trained a beaver to do it for you faster than that probably. hehehe

    That axe was most likely made by my friend Larry Kinsella.

      Indeed it was! He's amazing. I hear he's personally cut all the trees (over 3,000) for a reconstructed stockade at Cahokia with one of his stone axes.
