The mountain buggy nano is 11lbs, lays flat, takes a baby bassinet, and also doesn't require and adapter to receive any infant car seat AND certain toddler convertible seats (the cosco scenera next for example, helpful to stack in when you're going thru the airport or traveling somewhere where you need to Uber, like NYC). Also, it's under $200.
Do you find that kids slouch at all when sitting in this one? Or is a slight slouch inevitable with lightweight/compacts? I’m trying another brand out and so far I want to return it because my daughter (she’s one) is slouching. It seems to be because of the seat itself and the seat is lacking in depth.
I have been most impress with the Nuna TRVL and not having slouching. I had to play with it a bit, but I was able to get it pretty tight. The bumper bar also helps.
@@thestrollermom That's good to know! I'm getting rid of our nuna tavo because it leans back so far and won't sit upright, my kids hate it. I may purchase this instead if it sits uprights enough.
That is still a great stroller! Another option if you are wanting to stay in the Nuna Brand is the new Nuna Triv Next. They made a few improvements that make it a really nice stroller as well.
It’s really helpful to know the stroller can’t be used for babies under 6 months, just the infant car seat. I have this system and I have never used the stroller yet!
@@thestrollermom it’s kind of an interesting system: the infant car seat fits onto a stroller whose seat I can’t use because he’s too small/under developed, so I’m basically pushing extra weight of the stroller in order to use the wheels of the frame. And then once my baby outgrows the infant car seat, depending on his weight and development, there could be a gap between him fitting in the infant car seat and being sturdy enough for the stroller seat which I can use for a while longer. And then I gotta hang on to the infant car seat until I’m ready to sell the system together.
@@samirs1000no bassinet attachment for the TRVL because the stroller seat doesn’t come off the frame. I think their new TRVL XL has more of a lay flatter feature than the original TRVL. Otherwise, you’ll want the other NUNA systems for the true bassinet
Could the tires and bar be removed so it can fit in an overhead cabin? I feel like the ONLY one that will fit on United is the Silver Cross Jet 3 at this point.😅 If anyone has flown United with strollers on the plane please feel free to drop tips. We do NOT want to check the stroller.
Look at the Joolz or Butterfly! I have my review of the Are+ coming soon and will be doing a comparison as well. They are very similar and do fit in an airplane overhead bin.
@@thestrollermom We ended up with the Nuna TRVL and it was perfect!!! I know I mentioned we didn’t want to check it but all we had to do was gate check it right before getting on the plane. It was a godsend throughout Disney and the cruise!!! She loved it, fell asleep effortlessly and the compact quick fold/basket size, quality materials made it all worth it! Recommend 100%
Love your shoes. They look comfy. Are they and if so what brand? I’m searching for a stroller for my 8 month old who is obsessed with sitting up and seeing the world. We have the Britax stroller and he absolutely hates it because it’s too much of a recline even when seated all the way up. Any recommendations?
Toms and they are SOO comfortable! Are you wanting a lightweight option? The Nuna TRVL is the best I have found of the Lightweight/Travel category. You get much better options with the full size strollers.
That is a great option, but I am pretty sure it does not have an adapter for the Mesa. But the Uppababy Minu V2 is great and it does! I considered both of these options!
@@thestrollermom that’s true, but one of our other criteria is that we want it to fit in the overhead bin when we travel, and I heard the minu is slightly too big, much like the Nuna. I guess I’ll need to decide what’s more important to prioritize.
@@emiiii that is true! Sadly, the Mesa is not compatible with many travel strollers, but I do think you will be happy with the Bugaboo Butterfly. Babyzen - yoyo and Ergobaby Metro + are some other good travel options.
Super helpful! Thanks for putting this together. What is the major difference between this one and MIXX? Is that - this one is mucher lighter with smaller wheels so that techincially, this one has less function as shock absorbers? Also i assume this one can be used till a kid at his or her 5 yr old maybe?
The Mixx is a full size stroller (bigger fold, heavier, modular, bigger wheels and basket, etc.) and the TRVL is Nuna's compact stroller that has a smaller fold (but AMAZING), more lightweight, great for quick errands and navigating smaller spaces. The suspension is almost always better on full size strollers, but the TRVL is pretty good for a compact stroller.
So the first few times I found it was a little tricky, but try doing it without your baby in the stroller and take the padding off. They should slide up and down easily, but I know the tension you are talking about. One side might be easier, so try them both to see if it helps you get the feel for it.
What are your thoughts on Joolz Aer? Is it a better option than Bugaboo Butterfly? I am looking for something that can fit in overhead compartment and can also handle cobblestone well, haven’t found anything that checks these boxes
@@yenduong5174 I have not had a chance to test that one yet, but based on my research I would imagine it would be similar to the Babyzen YOYO2 where it can handle cobblestone on occasion. Have you considered the Babyzen YOYO2?
Yes! I hope to do that one at some point. Based on what I have seen there will be a bit of a quality difference, but so is the price! It really comes down to what you are looking for in a travel stroller!
Love this review! You covered everything I want to know (most importantly the cons). Thanks!

Hi! Do you know if this stroller is compatible with the lascal buggy maxi board?
I need to order it to try it. The Nuna team told me it works on their strollers, so I would imagine yes...
Keep us posted! Thank you!

@@thestrollermom I wish the seat was reversible that would be cool.

@@cambensy655 I did and overall I liked it! The push and fold are amazing. I also love the size!
Yea same here. I mean my son doesn't leave the house/neighborhood daily necessarily, but every time we do leave it gets used.

It’s really helpful to know the stroller can’t be used for babies under 6 months, just the infant car seat. I have this system and I have never used the stroller yet!
Some babies are strong enough for it to be used fully reclined around 4 months, but it depends on the baby.

Sounds like the TRVL stroller is compatible with all Pipa carseats without using an adapter. Thank you! I couldn't find that info anywhere!
Yes, so glad I could help! If you own a Pipa, the TRVL is an amazing stroller.
Have you tried the pipa urbn? Is it necessary to have the base or do you think the baseless urbn is good enough?
Thank you!
I just started testing it and love it so far. I will be doing a comparison review soon. to the other pipas.
Are able to remove the stroller seat and just lock in the carseat onto the stroller base?

Can this be used as an everyday stroller for a baby that can already sit or mainly for travelling? I am tired of our ‘full size’ stroller 😂
I use it as a everyday stroller with my 18 month old and I LOVE IT! It is so easy to get in and out of my trunk.

Sadly no :( Only the Nuna Triv Next, Nuna Demi Grow and Nuna Mixx Next are compatible with a bassinet.
