I’ve just recently got into 40k and out of all the factions I’ve learned about the Imperial Guard have to be my favorite, no crazy power suits, warp powers or chaos gods behind them, just a bunch of badasses who know they are just getting thrown into a blender but fight on in defiance of it all, definitely the faction that gets the most respect out of me
I know literally nothing about Warhammer 40k except that it looks cool. I’m planning to get the original game when it goes on sale. Please give me all the lore!
Hahaha thank you bro. I thought of fully narrating the older codexes. My video cadence is much better these days. Those videos are like... 4+ years old now
22:12 hearing “Operation Barbosa” hurt my soul a little. It’s “Barbarossa” and the design the Steel Legion helmets were more like Fallschirmjäger helmets. Also the Stahlhelm dates back to 1916, not Nazi Germany. Also very similar to Kriegsmen, their uniforms are based more on Imperial German Army uniforms rather than German Wehrmacht uniforms. 24:13 around here they have Imperial German Army crests on the right side of their helmets as a nod which is cool
I know for a fact I read in an official piece of GW literature maybe 12-18 years ago (White Dwarf, a codex, or something else) that Catachans, because of the higher gravity, are significantly shorter than the average human. Can anyone else corroborate this or know where I may have read this in? Either it was the random musings of a white dwarf author, or it's since been retconned.

This is what I tell everyone getting into it, choose one you like esthetically, start with that and then go in.
There are 100’s of books.

So glad to see you covering 40k again my battle brother
This was great. Happy it's narrated by yourself and not a bot

Enjoying the recent (relatively) foray into lore. It pairs really well with the usual content.
i suppose the Tallarn raiders now have become the western desert LRDG with the mission profile
So glad youre doing Lore!
