Yes, I love the denim jacket. I own 1 white, 1 black, and 5 different type blue jackets. None are recent buys. Also, check the men’s department. Their denim in my opinion is better made. Thanks for sharing.❤️❤️❤️
I have more jean jackets than any other clothing item. I have 11. Yes, that’s a lot. But I’ve been buy them for the past 15 to 20 years. And you are so right when you say they don’t date or wear out! I have mostly assorted styles of blue denim ones (medium wash to dark, dressier to ripped edged ones), white ones (fitted and classic with contrast stitching), grey one, a couple dark green/khaki… you hit on my obsession lol. Keep up the good work!
I have one which has some pink embroidery on it. In answer to your customisation question I would suggest thrifting a jacket and customising that rather than one you already own and love. I think I need a plain one!
I own a white denim jacket. I haven’t had a blue denim jacket in years. When I did have one, I never wore it. I did recently pick up chambray shirts that work as denim jackets in the Hawaiian climate that I live in.
At least 7-diff silhouettes, embellished, lengths-because you’re so right about the versatility of a denim jacket. My blazer style denim jacket is my fav!
Yes my favorite is the fact that you don’t need to be careful with it. Squishing it up washing it at any temperature, some stains al okay and keeps looking cool. Im thinking to get a sleeveless one as im in the desert climate and the one thing I always miss is being able to layer clothes.
I have a lot of denim jackets... White--Costco, pink-thrifted, olive green and raspberry print--thrifted, mint green--gift, light wash--garage sale, dark wash dyed black and faded--inherited from grandpa, black floral burnout velvet--good sale, heavy brown--Carhartt, heavy midwash--gifted, and a long/oversized embellished one that's a hand me down from my grandma (that she made-edited). Keep in mind that I keep everything a good long time and cycle through wearing everything. My oldest denim jacket is about 25 years old and still in very good shape. The one from my grandpa is probably 45 years old and I've had it for 16 years!
A good denim jacket is such a great piece that literally goes with everything, you can wear it with sporty looks, casual outfits, for an evening out over maybe a nice casual dinner dress!
I'm 65 this month and have 5 classic style denim jackets: 2 mid blue denim 20+ years old. Cobalt blue deep dyed. Black denim & dusky pink. Whereas you young girls use them to "dress up" your sweats etc. I like them (& leather moto) to dress down some of the smarter outfits I love that maybe feel a tad overdressed. And I dont feel "mutton dressed as lamb" as they say. They're great for all ages & styles
I have three, one longer dark wash, one waist high and lighter wash and one washed cream color. I wear pins and brooches on my jackets to change up the look.
I have one light color with pearls that I got 2 years ago one basic dark blue color I had it for over 20 year and still looks like new , I have one white and one vest light color with lace on top. You’re right on about the jackets , you can put it over anything and you look great.
I completely agree with you!! I have 4 denim jackets... 3 thrifted and 1 new. All of them are different cuts and washes. Great for styling up or dressing down an outfit. I will always be a jean jacket girl!
I have three! One is light, one is dark and one is white(off white)!!! When I found one that I liked, I thrifted the same one in diff. washes. In all the three cost about $30. Best money I ever spent!
I own two. A light wash thinner one for warm weather and a dark wash boyfriend fit for colder weather. I've had them for years and you are correct, they go with everything!
Four, a dark wash collarless, a med. wash w/ three quarter sleeves, a soft light wash with knit cuffs and collar, and a med wash blazer style. Also, a great Ralph Lauren oversized denim shirt that I wear as a jacket. Love the denim on denim look.
I have 2 denim jackets, one is a regular one with ruffles down the front, the other is long with a fur lining and a hood for the colder weather, love them.. Also a 3rd which is white with leather fringe on the sleeves..
Yeah I have about probably around a little under 10 (3 white ones, others shades of blues just different shapes), some very old from back in my hay days and the new additions were all thrifted. I don't have a black one and I would love to thrift one. I just saw on your video a picture that had the denim jacket under a blazer, that kind of gave a waistcoat look underneath. I will give that look a try. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.
OH YES DEAR!!! you are so spot on THE JEAN JACKET a KEY CLASSIC to the wardrobe. Yes I layer it under shirt jackets. Glitz it up or a casual wear look!❤️❤️❤️💃🌠
Another great, fun video! I own 3 denim jackets and everytime I think I need to get rid of them, I then change my mind. I have an oversize Rag n Bone, a Levi and a light color fitted one. After seeing your video, I think I will hold on to them for a while longer . Love your accent!!
I have four denim jackets! One is a soft pink and I am pleasantly surprised how much I wear it! And get compliments on constantly. Love a good denim jacket. Timeless.
So sorry to hear you folks are in lockdown. We went through it here twice already. (Michigan USA). I hope it doesn't go on much longer for you. I enjoy your videos about fashion. . . even though you're opposite seasons that we are here. Many things are universal. Denim Jackets, Vests, jeans.
Thank you for this video, Leonie! I wasn't in to them at all, but I bought one in spring and I've worn it over dresses, tops, everything! Best purchase ever. I have one.. Purchased it at Walmart. I think it's Time and Tru.
I’ve got three in the closet (when it’s not on the hook by the back door- ready for constant use)…a cropped Gap, a regular sized Mossimo and a longer, slightly oversized Benetton. All were thrifted and I love them!
I own 4 Jean jackets. Dark blue, medium blue, light blue, and black. I purchased the blue ones over three years ago. The black one I recently bought. I need to wear them more often, But I find myself reaching for cardigans or a blazer or sweater. I love your ideas of how to wear the Jean jacket I will try to incorporate them in my outfits.
I pulled mined out early this morning for a photo shoot on the beach. I wore a full length white linen skirt and a white cami underneath. It was just right!
I have: two classic short jackets in blue and white, one longer style in blue, and a blue denim blazer. I hardly ever wear any of them, I think because they’re not as comfortable or warm as other options, I like blazers more. I’m really tired of the denim jacket over the flouncy, floral dress, I did that in the 90s, 30 years ago. I like them styled with simple, solid-colored separates, as shown in your second image.
Omg, I love denim jackets. For that reason, I counted 14!!! denim hackets in my wardrobe... But actually, the're all different in style & colour. I love them all.
I have handpainted denim jackets...regular artist acrylic paint mixed with a liquid available in craft stores to keep thenpaint from peeling. Washable but best to always air dry a painted jacket. Same with an embroidered or piced fabroc apploques...airr dry so nothing shrinks cool water and low agitation turn the jacket inside outmto machine wash...you dont want friction on paint embroidery etc. Thrifted jackets. I p8ve the cropped look will look.for some to.cut I like to.show my small waist.
Three: 2 medium wash, 1 fitted, 1 slightly oversized 1 white, fitted Absolutely the most versatile and practical items in my wardrobe! I’ve gotten well over 10 years of wear from my fitted one, and have worn it over everything from joggers to my silk slip dress. My new obsession is the oversized one. It looks great thrown over virtually anything, instantly updating my more classic pieces. It’s a durable workhorse while I dig/haul/plant in the garden, yet after washing looks none the worse for wear and is ready to serve as a ‘fashion’ piece again. The cost-per-wear makes these a true bargain!
I have 3 blue a white and a dark charcoal grey denim jackets. All different styles. I luv them all but don't wear them often. At my age I prefer wearing a blazer instead of a denim jacket. Wear them mostly when I go to Pilates or with sports wear. Thanx Leonie fabulous video
I have one a shorter one than the brand new first time out one that I lost after foolishly tying it around my waist in summer. I am still not recovered. It was longer, and dearer and a beautiful shade of indigo. I enjoyed the video leonie. Thank you.
Great video and inspiration! I love denim jackets worn oversized. I was so happy when I found one thrifting for $10. It's Harley Davidson and super cool and oversized in a good way. I plan to start wearing it finally now that it's cooled down a bit where I live.
I agree it's a staple on mild days. I have 2 in different washes. One light 1 darker I got one from the thrift store in the mens section..I need to add a white one..Great video
I've got 7!! 1. A classic one in a really dark indigo. 2. A midwash one that's more a shacket style. 3. White 4. Pale lemon 5. Pink 6. Lilac 7. Mint Green I've also got a denim blazer which I find really useful. It's smarter than a denim jacket but not as smart/formal as a normal blazer so it just seems to work so well with casual outfits. I can keep it on for lunch etc and feel like it's part of my outfit whereas with a denim jacket it does feel a little like you are keeping your coat on!
I have 3 jean jackets and was not considering bringing one on my overseas vacation ... but your video convinced. I will pack a white and denium blue one. Thank you. Love your videos!
I have 4 denim jackets' 1 classic blue, a Levi grey from the day, one cropped and more boho and a white one! The older you get the more different styles you have!
hmmm... i think i currently own three? plus a white one and a long denim trench i thrifted at goodwill a few months ago... i keep collecting them even though i usually just wear one fairly consistently.. i have a bunch of pins or broaches on it and i really do love it!
@@Thestyleinsider. From Big W. I live in a small country town and there aren't many options but you'd never know I paid less than $20 for each one, they are of great quality. I'm stoked. How come you only have 2? Why not buy a thrifted one and put the personal design you crave to put on one. I'm totally inspired by your ideas.
I have one denim jacket. It’s from Witchery in a light wash. I really like it but I don’t wear it much but I still agree they’re versatile in the wardrobe. Mine is just more fitted than I’d like at the moment.
I am slightly embarrassed to say I have 11 denim jackets…fitted, oversized, embellished, black, cream, pinstriped, blazer style, sleeveless…obviously, I agree they’re a wardrobe staple :)
I have 3: one is the Levi’s ex boyfriend trucker jacket in one of their medium washes (more of a regular fit-could be oversized depending on sizing). Second is a light wash cropped denim jacket with floral embroidery on it. Love the embroidery bc it’s more fall colors. Last one is a cropped black denim jacket. Tbh, I wear the black one the most of all.
Hi Leonie: I completely agree with all the points you've made for owning a jean jacket. I have two classics that I bought over twenty years ago, one light and the other darker. I would never give those two away. I did buy a Sherpa lined one for winter about three years ago that keeps me nice and toasty during the colder months Congratulations on your beautifully presented book and yes, I want a copy!
I own 3 denim jackets. A classic blue, a white one and a fluorescent green. Love that you have a book and went immediately to click on the link and just purchased it. It is very useful. I’m a big fan of yours. Your skin looks amazing by the way.
I must have about 8 denim jackets, several in colors. I also have some French terry jackets made in the shape of a denim jacket, and two which are velvet.
I have four: two medium wash denim, one white, and my newest, an acid-washed army green that reverses to gray python print. Now your video has inspired me to look for another that I can crop, so thank you for that idea!
I have a denim jacket I put on a bunch of brooches on one side to add a touch of my personal style. It’s easy to do and if I get tired of the look. I can just remove the brooches without damaging or changing the jacket permanently in any way. That’s my suggestion at least.
I own 4 Levi's denim jackets: one vintage dark indigo, a light wash for summer, a slightly oversized mid-blue one with a row of rhinestones along the arms (for nights out), and an oversized cropped. I also have a Lee x H&M one, which is oversized, a bit long and very soft for when I want to cinch the waist with a belt. And two days ago, I bought a light wash denim overshirt from Zara. Total = 6 P.S. I just realised I'm wearing a denim jacket on my profile photo! 😜
I own 2. 1) A regular, classic, high quality, but stiff, pure woven cotton denim jean jacket. Owned for 3 years. Worn: 0 times. 2) A KNITTED, stretchy, comfy jean jacket. Looks like denim, feels like a sweatshirt. Owned for 4 years. Worn: at east 300 times. Manufacturers, please make MORE jeans jackets that are knitted! Or, if woven, have STRETCH in them! Thanks Leonie for letting me vet. Love your videos! 💖
I’ve seen Jean jacket that have stretchy panels sewn into the inner arm so they still look like a classic but have stretch and give to make them more comfy 👍🏼
I love my denim jackets! I feel they add a certain level of coolness to my outfits. From white to black to blue denim, they can definitely make a statement layered under an oversized coat in the colder weather
I have 5 jean jackets. Dark wash navy, light wash navy, grey, white and peach! They work in so many directions! Looking for a black one and a brown one to add to the collection.
I have 5. I really had to think about it. Two are medium wash blue denim, 2 are black and 1 is white. I don't wear them as much as I could. Some are a little stiff and uncomfortable so I will wash them just to soften the fabric. Sometimes I wear the Canadian tuxedo, all blue denim. It's so easy to put together And I do live in ranching country so it's not like I stand out. Good video.
I don't have a definite jacket, but I would love an oversized white one. I absolutely love layering (summer is an absolute nightmare for me in the UK) and it would go with my over sized jumpers and t-shirts
I never owned a denim jacket until I thrifted one yesterday! I'm not sold on it yet because I can't tell if it's old lady style, though. All of these jean jackets are more of a boxy fit, but the one I got is structured like a blazer. 🤷♀️
Another good reason I think is that it goes with every style.... Classic, preppy, chic, boho, minimalist, punk and goth and so much more :)
So true!
Yes, I love the denim jacket. I own 1 white, 1 black, and 5 different type blue jackets. None are recent buys. Also, check the men’s department. Their denim in my opinion is better made. Thanks for sharing.❤️❤️❤️
Oh yes I agree - and generally more affordable too! Thanks for the reminder Myrtle :)
I have more jean jackets than any other clothing item. I have 11. Yes, that’s a lot. But I’ve been buy them for the past 15 to 20 years. And you are so right when you say they don’t date or wear out! I have one which has some pink embroidery on it. In answer to your customisation question I would suggest thrifting a jacket and customising that rather than one you already own and love. I think I need a plain one!
Yes I think that's what I will do Tracy :)
I own a white denim jacket. I haven’t had a blue denim jacket in years. When I did have one, I never wore it. I did recently pick up chambray shirts that work as denim jackets in the Hawaiian climate that I live in.
Oh yes a chambray shirt would be much better for you for sure :)
At least 7-diff silhouettes, embellished, lengths-because you’re so right about the versatility of a denim jacket. My blazer style denim jacket is my fav!

A good denim jacket is such a great piece that literally goes with everything, you can wear it with sporty looks, casual outfits, for an evening out over maybe a nice casual dinner dress!
I totally agree!
This year, I'm absolutely obsessed with denim. Jeans, tops, jackets...everything denim! Good video, thank you!
Yay! Thank you!
I have 5 - one white, one black distressed, one medium blue, one dark blue, and one light pink. Love them all.
I have one denim jacket but I agree with you 100% on all your reasons to have one as a staple in our wardrobe- the most versatile of jackets!
THanks for sharing :)
One…. I cut the bottom to have it land at the right place and it’s soft and finishes any outfit!🦋
Perfect Denise ☝🏼
I own 3. My oldest is 20 years old from Gap. Crazy but I still love it!
Mine is from the Gap and it’s over 20 years old.

Oh that makes perfect sense Karen and what a great way to get more wear out of some of your dressier pieces - I love it 😻
I have four - 3 of varying blue washes and 1 black. I've had the first one since 2005 and still wear it all the time. 100% must have.
I have three, one longer dark wash, one waist high and lighter wash and one washed cream color. I wear pins and brooches on my jackets to change up the look.
Yes are absolutely right ☺️. Denim jackets are great layers for any outfit.
So true!

Although I am now 75 I have never worn a piece of denim , never a pair of jeans or any jean jacket. Always enjoy your videos.
I completely agree with you!! I have 4 denim jackets... 3 thrifted and 1 new. All of them are different cuts and washes. Great for styling up or dressing down an outfit. I will always be a jean jacket girl!
Perfect! Me too Barbara :)
I own, blue, red, white, black and pink love them and matching pants.
Four, a dark wash collarless, a med. wash w/ three quarter sleeves, a soft light wash with knit cuffs and collar, and a med wash blazer style. Also, a great Ralph Lauren oversized denim shirt that I wear as a jacket. Love the denim on denim look.

Oh yes I loved that look too and haven’t seen a denim jacket worn like that before - good spotting Denise 👍🏼
OH YES DEAR!!! you are so spot on THE JEAN JACKET a KEY
CLASSIC to the wardrobe.
YES! Definitely hold on to them and thank you. I of course don't think I have an accent LOL :)
I have four denim jackets! One is a soft pink and I am pleasantly surprised how much I wear it! And get compliments on constantly. Love a good denim jacket. Timeless.
I totally agree!
I have 4 denim jackets, 1 white, 2 shorter and 1 long jacket. Love them all.
I have one cropped RL denim jacket. I have added a Chanel pin and wear it all the time. It goes with everything!
Thank you for this video, Leonie! I wasn't in to them at all, but I bought one in spring and I've worn it over dresses, tops, everything! Best purchase ever. I have one.. Purchased it at Walmart. I think it's Time and Tru.
Wonderful! That's so great to hear Charisa :)
I’ve got three in the closet (when it’s not on the hook by the back door- ready for constant use)…a cropped Gap, a regular sized Mossimo and a longer, slightly oversized Benetton. All were thrifted and I love them!
I totally forgot about jean jackets! What a great tip! I have only one so was glad to see it is big enough to wear over a sweater.
Yay!
Three Here! White, dark demin blue, and a medium wash..all Ralph Lauren, whom I 💘!
Love it!!
I pulled mined out early this morning for a photo shoot on the beach. I wore a full length white linen skirt and a white cami underneath. It was just right!
I have 3 all dark wash. One is a regular, one over sized and one that is longer that covers my bum. Love them all!!
What a perfect line up Raelin ☝🏼
I have: two classic short jackets in blue and white, one longer style in blue, and a blue denim blazer. I’m really tired of the denim jacket over the flouncy, floral dress, I did that in the 90s, 30 years ago. I like them styled with simple, solid-colored separates, as shown in your second image.
Fair enough Kimberly! It's always a bit boring seeing things second or even third time around :)
Today I bought 2 new demin jacket. One white and one mid blue. I have a very old HERO dark wash one. Beautiful day in Rotorua. Spring is here.
I p8ve the cropped look will look.for some to.cut I like to.show my small waist.
Wow your jackets sound fab!
I've got 1 light wash cropped denim jacket with a hood. It really does go with everything.

Perfect!
Love this video, you're absolutly right, if i'm stuck i always grab my denim jacket...i own 2 but often steal my son's😁
I own a cropped ripped 2 shade jean jacket. I love it it’s very unique
Three:
2 medium wash, 1 fitted, 1 slightly oversized
1 white, fitted
Absolutely the most versatile and practical items in my wardrobe!
I totally agree with everything you said - the cost per wear is fabulous for sure!
That makes perfect sense to me - thanks for sharing :)
I have two denim jackets; one is light wash, and the other is dark wash. LOVE them very much and LOVE your channel!!!
Awesome! Thank you so much!
I have one a shorter one than the brand new first time out one that I lost after foolishly tying it around my waist in summer. I am still not recovered. It was longer, and dearer and a beautiful shade of indigo. I enjoyed the video leonie. Thank you.
Oh no! I would feel exactly the same about losing one too - I tie mine around my waist all the time!
I guard my two classics like a pirate guards his treasure! 😄 I feel for your loss and I hope you will find a similar jean jacket.
I own one with some flower detailing on it, and a short poly-denim blazer. Thanks for the inspo!
Sounds lovely 😊
Great video and inspiration! I love denim jackets worn oversized. I was so happy when I found one thrifting for $10. It's Harley Davidson and super cool and oversized in a good way. I plan to start wearing it finally now that it's cooled down a bit where I live.
I agree it's a staple on mild days. I have 2 in different washes. One light 1 darker I got one from the thrift store in the mens section..I need to add a white one..Great video
I totally agree! White is fab too :)
I've got 7!!
1. A classic one in a really dark indigo.
2. A midwash one that's more a shacket style.
3. White
4. Pale lemon
5. Pink
6. Lilac
7. Mint Green
I've also got a denim blazer which I find really useful. It's smarter than a denim jacket but not as smart/formal as a normal blazer so it just seems to work so well with casual outfits. I can keep it on for lunch etc and feel like it's part of my outfit whereas with a denim jacket it does feel a little like you are keeping your coat on!
WOW! You are definitely covered! I used to have a denim blazer and I'm kicking myself for parting with it now.
So many jackets in such wonderful colours 🌈! Great 😃👍❗
3! My oversized Gap jacket is my favorite! I also have a black cord one that I love!
I have 3 jean jackets and was not considering bringing one on my overseas vacation ... but your video convinced. I will pack a white and denium blue one. Thank you. Love your videos!
Wonderful!
Just got a Demi jacket from Ross; Thrill Jean, can’t wait to wear them with different outfits! Thank you for the encouragement!
Oh that sounds fab Melinda 👏🏼
I went from zero to 7 in a few years. They are so cheap here in Australia, so I binged. Love them.
Nice - where did you buy them in Aus?
@@Thestyleinsider. From Big W. I live in a small country town and there aren't many options but you'd never know I paid less than $20 for each one, they are of great quality. I'm stoked.
Two, one fitted and one oversize which i prefer 😊😘
Nice!
Wow! Sounds like you're totally sorted - yay!
One REPLAY dark denim regular & one with trouks oversized
I have one dark blue cropped and one brown/orange. Love them both!😍
Hi Leonie: I completely agree with all the points you've made for owning a jean jacket. I have two classics that I bought over twenty years ago, one light and the other darker. Congratulations on your beautifully presented book and yes, I want a copy!
Just bought a new Levi’s jacket and this video came right on time! I now own three.
I have 3: one ligh wash, other medium wash and other over-sized medium wash
I own 3 denim jackets. A classic blue, a white one and a fluorescent green. Love that you have a book and went immediately to click on the link and just purchased it. It is very useful.
I’m a big fan of yours. Your skin looks amazing by the way.
I have two : blue medium size and black oversized one
I have 1 classic denim jacket. I also have one that is more unique. You are so right a denim jacket always works with everything.
Congratulations on your book! I have 2 denim jackets. One lighter version and a dark wash version.
Thanks so much Betsey :)
I have two denim jackets. One is white and the other is pale blue. I actually threw on the blue one today because it was cooler out
Perfect!
I love my chopped denim jacket purchased from Chicos and I also have a tailored denim blazer from Chicos.
Nice 😊
I got one classic, slightly washed out.☺️
Nice!
I’m so glad you made this video. I’m keeping all 3 of my denim jackets!✌️❤️
Yay 👏🏼
I love denims😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🤗 hurray!! I got 2 both in blue but will add more
I own 2 different shades of denim, a white, burgundy and an olive green. I love them all and have a hard time deciding which one to wear!
Total = 6
P.S. I just realised I'm wearing a denim jacket on my profile photo! 😜
3 - dark blue, white and khaki, looking for a light blue one at the moment
Have a denim jacket I am not wearing but you have now inspired me!
I own 2. 1) A regular, classic, high quality, but stiff, pure woven cotton denim jean jacket.
@The Style Insider that would certainly help! Thanks Leonie! 💖
I love my denim jackets! I feel they add a certain level of coolness to my outfits. From white to black to blue denim, they can definitely make a statement layered under an oversized coat in the colder weather
4: one dark wash, one dark blue Tencel, one white, one daffodil yellow
Oh they sound fun :)
The yellow is a real mood booster on gray and rainy days.🙂
@@maryannwheeler7170 oh yes I can imagine 💛💛💛💛
Hi Leonie. I have about 20 denim jackets, and a couple were thrifted. I need to get rid of some, but I love them all😆
Love that! I think you're in the lead with 20 LOL :)
Leoni thank you for all you do. Sending love!
Thank you so much :)
Goin out tomorrow to buy one...you convinced me!!!
Yay! Let me know how you get on 👏🏼
I have 5 jean jackets. Dark wash navy, light wash navy, grey, white and peach! They work in so many directions! Looking for a black one and a brown one to add to the collection.
Hello Leonie! I have 3: black, blue and pink. And I really love them all 😊!
Good video.
I think it might be time I washed mine too 😳
I don't have a definite jacket, but I would love an oversized white one. I absolutely love layering (summer is an absolute nightmare for me in the UK) and it would go with my over sized jumpers and t-shirts
Oh yes it would be perfect!
@@Thestyleinsider. do you have any recommendations?
I've had my eye on this one cause it's such a classic: rstyle.me/+9yyb3iaBsBaldEvKMN8pHg
@@Thestyleinsider. Thank you! It looks amazing!!
I own 3 denim jackets, and i totally love and use them all the time. Great video!!!
Yay! Thank you!
Hi, I own several denim jackets, in different styles. I agree a true staple for all ages. Thank you for another great video. Take care
I never owned a denim jacket until I thrifted one yesterday! I'm not sold on it yet because I can't tell if it's old lady style, though. All of these jean jackets are more of a boxy fit, but the one I got is structured like a blazer. 🤷♀️
