So happy to see a video this morning ! I watch your older videos for hours yesterday😆 and last night I dreamed you and I were harvesting a huge field of amaranth ,🤣 they were huge, like 12 feet tall and in the center of the field there was a coffee machine and a table and chairs that was done up all proper ! 😆 How crazy is that !!! Fun ! Love your videos 💜
Thank you thank you, I needed the reminder to support mine. For 2 years I left it too late. Like many other of your subscribers I love your videos, always useful tips told with a great sense of humour.
Just digging my dahlia plants out here in New Zealand! Ridiculous amount of rain here over the last month which is unprecedented for this area so it's a rescue mission before they rot!! As ever a great video Georgie, thank you.
Just saw your clip and I'm located in Oklahoma, South Central USA. We are on the plains and have high winds so all of my garden needs to be supported. When tornado season comes, even more so. I'm planning on propagating my dahlias starting in early January so I'm buying the minimum amount of each variety.
Thank you for this! My Dahlias are about this high right now and need to get them staked. Last year was my first year with them and many were crushed by one heavy storm. They are strong plants, kept growing while on the ground but not great. I only have about 63 plants together in row like yours, so just perfect!
Oh my goodness! Brilliant! I refuse to use plastic netting- agree it's awful stuff that squishes plants... we inherited a huge box of jute string on big wooden spools. Going to run out and make this for my tomatoes, flowers and maybe corral my Renegade chickens 🤣
I love watching your videos I put my dailies away for the winter last year and for some reason they rotten I'd love to see the way you do your delias they are my favorite flower
ooh how annoying for you - keep up with the channel we have lots of dahlia chat - and I have dahlia workshops both here at the farm and online if you'd like to book a place x
I love your videography! Would you be kind enough to shoot one on conditioning, particularly searing? Or should I search your back catalogue for one you made earlier? Thanks so much!
Nicely done! Your dahlias look so healthy . Mine languished inside in pots for too long as spring is late coming for us here in PEI. It has arrived now so I hope they will flower for me. I like your idea of the crisscross string. Thanks❤️👍🏻🦞
Brilliant video. You make me laugh so much and absolutely talk my language.
hurrah and thank you x
Love the builders stakes, what a brilliant idea, off to eBay to find some!
go for it x

Thanks…. I try to avoid the plastic mash as well and this looks that it can work on other flowers as well…
Yes it does! - go for it x
Put my dahlia supports up today 👍🏻 thank you

I think it’s genius. I need some pig tails! Please show us this dahlia patch in bloom.
don't worry there'll be lots more dahlia footage once they start flowering x

funnily enough I recently did a paid demo on conditioning and you can order the download on my website - xxx enjoy! xxx
Good info, what are you growing among the dahlias? Looks like some type if grass?
Glads x
What do you do for the ones that get very tall?
I cut all the flowers so they never get too heavy x
Where I live, on Vancouver Island, deer don't like dahlias.
they must have lots of other delicious things to eat first x
@@theflowerfarmer England has red deer and roe deer while Vancouver Island has Columbia Black-Tailed Deer. That might be the difference.
