    I love when Tea Cake barks you immediately answer 'Oh Tea Cake' . He could have his own fan club like Monty Don's Golden Retriever, Nigel had.

    Georgie you looked angelic standing in the dahlia patch with the glorious rays of sunlight. 😊 God bless

    So encouraging to see you filling up your water cans and doing it by hand. I was thinking about an in line distribution system, but it really took me no time at all to give my 400 dahlias a drink of fish emulsion in my two watering cans.

      we have a lot of water coming from the sky at the moment - would be a shame to waste it x

    I live in Amsterdam and am just back from a trip to the UK. Visited Upton Grey garden, where they can not have too many hollyhocks ! More is more 😊 My Dahlias are either full of buds or full of leaves so the day before yesterday I gave them all a feed (& the roses). It has been so dry here (& breezy) that I wish that tomorrow it would rain as much as it has done today, we really need it! Your plants are looking fantastic.

    October 12 th today and it’s the first time I’ve not been able to sunbathe in my garden 🪴 UK 🇬🇧 we’ve had the best Autumn 🍂, makes up for rainy August.
    Ps it rains more in Paris than London , fun fact .
    New Zealand 🇳🇿 is the country that has similar weather to UK 🇬🇧. Minus the Earthquake.

    So lovely to see the strong and healthy looking flowerbeds on your farm. I was just going to organise my dahlias tomorrow. They look wild after my absence due to a trip to....yes...Stourhead. I have come back in awe still and nourished by the beauty of it all. And now I am inspired by your work in your garden. So without further ado I am off to the hard ware shop tomorrow to buy sea weed feed. Thank you for your down to earth advice. PS. lots of rain here in the south west of the Netherlands, but with high winds which dry out the soil. Alas.

      ooh I hate a desiccating wind too - hope you get less wind and more rain x

      it's great to add to a compost heap though be careful if harvesting seaweed is allowed where you are x

    Thank you ❤ I've been wanting to walk around and feed all my flowers but thought I'd look a bit potty in the rain. But now I don't care ! They definitely need it...they've got that lacklustre mid summer look. So hopefully tonight 😁

    We have seasol here in Australia which is a seedweed solution. I do the same for my plants and give them the same solution when I plant new seedlings to prevent transplant shock. I plant in compost and blood and bone. Your garden is looking great Georgie .

    Just love your videos Georgie. I started to watch and stopped as I felt the urge to go and pick a huge bunch of sweet peas which are now scenting my living room! Later today I'm going to do the 30 stem challenge and see what I can create for the weekend!! Your dahlias are gorgeous, whereas mine have been mullered by something!Thankyou for your inspiration as always xx

    With so much rain how do you keep the slugs at bay from your dahlias ?

    • @theflowerfarmer
      @theflowerfarmer  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      we have a good ecosystem here having been gardening organically here since 2004 so we have slugs but not enough to cause too much damage x
