    Excellent camera work and nice narration. Also, I'm always impressed by the Christian influence. We need more of this in today's world.

    I was fortunate enough to meet Andy Muller during the cab inspections. I knew who he was from brief glimpses of him in videos, one from 1991. I've followed the progress of his railroad since the beginning and felt as if I knew him even though we'd never met before. What a great railroader. He posed for pictures, shook people's hands and chatted with anyone who cared to talk.

      @@piedmontdistrictrailfan1741 His physical plant is mind boggling let alone all the equipment he owns. He told me that he and his family always liked trains. Lots of people like trains, but few built a rail empire like he has.

    While in Jim Thorpe 2102 was disconnected from the train and the public was invited to tour the cab. Then a quick photo run by was performed with 2102 solo before connecting onto the train for the return trip to Outer Reading. Andy Muller is excellent at public relations as well as running his railroad. It's amazing all that he's accomplished. This trip went off on time without a hitch. 2102 performed flawlessly.

    • @piedmontdistrictrailfan1741
      @piedmontdistrictrailfan1741  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He sure is great at public relations, and the trip sure did go well. What a great railroad! The whole weekend I was thinking about what it would be like there if it was still Class I trackage. I think there wouldn't be much business, some of RBMN's lines would be gone, and there certainly would not be any steam excursions, beautiful stations, or green-painted diesels.

    A very nicely done video. Loved the clarity and full sound of 2102 working hard, but is there anyway to eliminate some of the clicking sounds? I'm hearing a lot of this lately from other railroad videos as well.

I really enjoy photography as well as videography, and I plan on making a Flickr page where you can see my photos soon!

    • @piedmontdistrictrailfan1741
      @piedmontdistrictrailfan1741  ปีที่แล้ว

      2102 has two whistles. The first is a Reading 6-chime, used on Reading passenger engines, and the second is a Reading 1-chime, used on their freight engines. The 1-chime is what 2102 and the other T-1s had in revenue service.

      @@piedmontdistrictrailfan1741 Thank you for the info. I had no idea American steam engines "this modern" had single chime whistles. The single chimes I ever heard were from 4-4-0s from the 1800s. 2021's single chime sounds similar to German engines.
