    My mom in law had these ready to go in the oven when we all came back to her house from church. Thank you for the wonderful memory! Loved your video!

    These are great. They will hold in the refrigerator overnight to be baked the next morning after a good rise. My family always want to have me keep a few to bake the next day, they say it make a better texture and taste! Thanks for the recipe!

    I just finished making these biscuits for breakfast today. I didn’t have buttermilk so I used canned cream instead. I live out near the state forest in Florida and 30 mins minimum from the grocery. I did a half batch. My kids will get a full batch of these babies this weekend!! Yummy!! Thank you!
    Merry Christmas!

      The less you work the biscuits regular recipe, keep everything cold and do the same folds. Pat to 1/2 in let stand on counter 10 mins after pulling from fridge. Cold is key. Then bake at 446 or near for 12 minutes on middle rack 7 minutes. Finish off on top rack.

    I bet that dough would made a beautifully tasting soft pretzel. May have to try it in a smaller batch.

    I have tried making biscuits 3 times this month and they turned out looking like a science project that went really bad. But this recipe is like no other. I have NEVER EVER seen or heard of anyone using yeast to make biscuits. This might be worth a try. Tfs sweetie😋😋😋😘😘😘👍👍👍👌👌👌💞💞💞💕💕💕

      Probably the temp was too high; recipes say to bake at 450, but that is too high for my oven

    New subscriber. Looks absolutely scrumptious. Question do you still have to use baking soda? I have my yeast instant. And baking powder. Can you just put it in the dry ingredients like the package says ?or do you still have to proof it. ?I imagine since the buttermilk is cold probably right. Please let me know I surely would love to make🤍💖💚💚💜💜💚

    Thanks for sharing your recipe. I’ve seen other recipes and they don’t always say let rise before baking. Is it necessary to do so? They look delicious!

    • @LesaBear612
      @LesaBear612 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I let mine rise for about an hour, but I replace some of the white flour with whole wheat flour, I also use regular yeast, so it might be different without.

      It depends on the weather and how much moisture is in the air but about an hour is fine!

      Excuse me.....please watch the video again. At 4:38 Zelda adds the yeast just after the buttermilk! She already dissolved it in the water earlier in the video. She left it out in the written recipe. Buttermilk amount was incorrect also.
