"Knights of the round drew controversy for its historical inaccuracies?" ...this guy has got to be making this up. I lived this era and read many of the top gaming magazines at the time and do not ever remember this. He then cites the violence portrayed in the game...the violence in this game is nothing compared to final fight, killer instinct, and mortal combat which were contemporaries during the time. This guy lost all credibility and its still the first game.
Honestly, this guy is making up controversy that never happened. There was some controversy around a handful of games, MK being an obvious one that did make headlines. There was no Internet for people to fake oitrage like we have nowadays, it either made headlines, news, tv, etc or pretty much nobody outside of gamers knew or cared that it even existed.
How can SNES be the most successful 16 bit console when SEGA sold more? Also probably the only games that caused any controversy on 16 bit was Mortal Kombat
It always cracks me up when things are considered controversial like Doom or Wolfenstein because of its depiction of Demons or Nazis....lol when the whole point of the game and your main goal is 2 kill and destroy all said evils haha

Very few of these games "led to discussions about..." anything.
Please go with PlayStation next, it had its share of controversies!
I am at shadowrun right now and know i will listen the entire video.
Quality content. Subbed.
Thank you so much!I hope you enjoy your stay.
Mortal Kombat 2 has some gnarly fatalities like Kung Lao.
Had all three 16bit systems; SNES, Genesis, and Turbo Grafx 16. Each had special moments, but the SNES was my favorite.
And wolfenstein is doom
Controversy is a great way to get attention and sales.
Despite the lack of gore, I have still had many hours of challenging fun with the SNES version of Mortal Kombat!
Parent groups complained about everything that doesn't make them controversial. I was looking for actually controversial and weird games. Huge FAIL!

SNES had more sales in Japan, and ultimately pulled ahead in America with its strong RPG library and the impressive Donkey Kong Country games.

Is it me is is knights of the round just final fight in medieval garb?
The reasons given for each game is close to exactly the same, so repeating it is unnecessary and a bit annoying.
Downvote boring
Pretty much same story for each game. Too dark and voilent. Not family friendly. Too difficult. Not accessible to everyone. Repeating gameplay.

Fatal Fury, Double Dragon, more than just a few side scrolling beat em up games.
