Feuerschwanz is nothing but an old-fashioned, homegrown awesome band! Seriously, they made their way though playing in small halls or markets all the way up to Wacken, all from fan support! And that's why this guys are still very grounded, if you see the on a festival or concert of another band they have relationship, you can talk and have a drink with them like it's the normal thing. By the way, gonna see them on sunday 🤘
Fabienne Erni is from Switzerland, her main band Eluveitie (elf eye tea) was founded in 2002, she joined in 2017. Eluveitie does Celtic folk metal with elements of melodic death metal, Fabienne plays Mandola, Celtic harp and does vocals. She also has a side project / second band named Illumishade with guitarist Jonas Wolf (also from Eluveitie), bassist Yannick Urbanczik, drummer Marcel Friedrich and keyboardist Mirjam Schnedl. They do symphonic metal / gothic metal.
German "eu" is pronounced like "oy" as in "boy", not as "ew" as in "fewer". So instead of "Fewerschwanz", say "Foyerschwanz". The guitarist is Hans Platz. His side project is "The Dark Side of the Moon" (with Melissa Bonny, et al). I guess you know it. The long haired singer is Ben Metzner, he also has a side project called "dArtagnan". But Feuerschwanz is the main band.
The band's name is also a play on words, depending on which German language you read it in, but the words are the same: Feuer (foy-ur) = fire. Schwanz (sh-van-zuh) = ... penis. So, literally, the band's name is "Fire Cock." 😅
