- I wanted to share with you a new pistol I picked up today that has been on my "want" list since it was announced. I also wanted to share with you a little about my past and why I handle the mean comments like I do. This is kind of a serious discussion I do not talk about often.

Never really paid attention to the P99 but now that I've learned about it I am impressed with the innovation
It was ahead of it's time.
@@thetexasgunvault2 It still kinda is. We've moved to trigger safeties, and they are really effective, but a decocking mechanism shan't be overlooked. I'd say the P99 is the iconic Bond gun, if nothing else, but really paved the way for modern handguns.

Pretty cool hearing and seeing this side of you. You really do make the 2A community more inviting and ideal. As gun owners I imagine it's hard for people to get into weapons because of how the community is. We should be a little more inviting for sure. There's talking smack like with friends and just flat out being a bully. I keep trying to block that armed scholar and I'm like you, if I don't like content then I just move on. When content is good though I make sure the creator knows, i give it some time to watch their content, and then i subscribe. Thanks for keeping this channel positive Jason.
Yeah, there is so much toxicity in the gun community. We need to be inviting to make sure more join our ranks.
Just block/remove the negative folks. They can make their own channel if they want to discuss whatever they want to discuss. Disagreement is ok, but they don't have to insult you. You mention this in your talk, that you might explain how you feel about someone on your channel, but you don't go to their channel and flood their comments with your opinion.
Yeah, it is just about being a good person.
The Walther P99 was the very first full-sized pistol I purchased and it will never leave me. It has never failed me. It was way ahead of it's time when it came to market and with the AS trigger feature in my opinion still makes it a very relevant firearm today despite all the variety and advancements along the way.
I couldn't agree more. It's a modern classic.
The P99 is meant to be carried with the heavy double action trigger pull first. Right after you rack the slide to load it, then push the decocker on top of the slide to put it in the DA mode.

Beat me to it! A striker fired gun with a decocker. Love it. I have a few NIB “just in case” and both the full and compacts have always been my carry guns. With “extras,” I’m having trouble justifying the Final Edition.

Btw, I’m sure you’re going to get the full sizes too-but grab the P5c and P88c for your Walther collection. The compacts are where it’s at imo.

I have a Gen 2 P99 AS bought in 2014. Walther has been using plastic boxes for some time, but the Pelican style case is new. Maybe due to 'collector' status. I'm a bit jealous of the 2-tone finish, just can't see buying second P99. Congrats. Hope it stays in your collection. Anyone saying collecting is 'cringe' is a waste of O2.

But back to reality, thanks for presenting the Walther P99. Personally, I dont own any Walthers above 22lr caliber, was looking forward to getting a PK380 someday.

Your channel is awesome the p99 is a really amazing pistol I’m getting to pick mine up this Monday it’s a gen 1 40 s&w I got it for a good price only 375 and it’s in decent condition I’ve always wanted one since 1998 when I was a kid I’m glad I finally found one they are hard to find where I live don’t let anyone get you down god has your back stay blessed brother the hell with all the evil people all we can do is pray for them 🙏🙏🙏

I think its funny all the glock boiz hating on the "full cock striker" sigs. When the new GLOCK Performance Trigger they were pushing a few weeks ago is literally just adapting the glock to give it a full cock striker.

(most politicians have a law degree)🤷♂ I've been divorced 3 times, and anyone who has been through a divorce can tell you, if they are honest, the only people who win in a divorce is the attorney's.🤷♂ Everybody else loses....
But I do appreciate your candor, and I am not always a fan of the same guns as you are, but I am still glad those guns exist, we are a world of individuals, and we all need options, so the more options, the merrier.👍

I’d be interested in how hot it is in your garage? Does your opener have a thermostat on it?
Mine stays around 90-98° these summer months. The AC does bring it down around 87-90, and that’s just comfortable enough.
I’m pretty much interested in guns our department approves, Burettas, S&W M&P’s, there is a list of other guns but most require 8-16 hour classes.
I will check the thermometer in the next video. I have one on the wall.

The first firearm I ever held and fired was my Dad's Walther P38, wish I had it today. I believe in what you said, if I don't like the content, I keep it moving, no reason for anyone to leave nasty personal comments.

I’ve had my P99 for 3 years now. She’s a bit hard to conceal carry in the summer time without my shoulder rig.

@@thetexasgunvault2 Wanted it since I was 16 after watching “Tomorrow Never Dies”. 13 years later I fully committed to it in 2020.
I have never fired a Walther P99 but i I own a clone of it, the S&W SW99. It might not be as well known as the P99 but is also an excellent gun!
I have heard good things about those.
The S&W99 is the same gun. Walther frame, S&W slide made to work with the frame, which has very little styling differences. The S&W is from when they and Walther were together so Walther could import in the US.
Oh, I almost forgot about the Walther🤦♂... I only have one, the Walther WMP in 22 magnum, I absolutely love that pistol.👍
I am now considering their options of available pistols with the positive opinion I have of the WMP. The WMP is an interesting pistol, and man it is a pleasure to shoot.👍
The WMP is a cool pistol and I still feel like they can make it better. It still feels a little cheap in my hands for some reason.
@@thetexasgunvault2 Yeah, I've not met many guns that could not use some help, unless your plunking down $3k, that gun better not need anything... It all comes down to personal choice, and the more options the better.👍 And luckily, we get new options nearly every week.😁

Im sure most of us follow for the guns and positive energy you exude. The most kind generous honest men have usually been through the darkest situations, so we embrace the good fully. I also was waiting for you the manipulate the de cocker at the rear of the slide of the Walther like @Gobneck. Nice work!
