I thought it was strange that very British James Bond equipped himself with pistols from Britian's WW2 enemies--the Beretta .25 from Fascist Italy and the Walther PPK from Nazi Germany. Thanks for this dive into history, both real gun world and the internal history of James Bond 007 in Ian Flemings fictional universe.
Yes Sean Connery is the best and original James Bond. Just to give you a laugh / conversation I do think Daniel Craig and Pierce Bronson did good work.
Decades later, it still cracks me up when they send Connory Bond to a health spa to clean up. He is laying on a table and the nurse who is about 20 feet away says "I will need a urine sample Mr Bond." Connory says "From here?". I think he passed away and RIP if so.
It would of been a nice mouse/pocket gun but I wouldn't do it cause of that aluminum indicator I'm afraid it would catch in the pocket n bend it so it's just a ranger toy for me
This is the best gun channel to sit and unwind! Don’t ever change your format!
Absolutely enjoyed the history and breakdown of this gun. 👍Good video
Great video. The Model 418 is a well made and underappreciated gun.
Never paid much attention to these watch fob pocket pistols. I missed a lot of very interesting history presented here. Very interesting!

The PPK was the best 'concealed carry' gun in the world at the time. What would he carry? A Webley?
Yes to seeing the guns fired at the range.
The reason why James Bond carried the 418 (from what I learned) was because Ian Fleming carried one when he was in military intelligence.

Ha! I will admit I enjoy the goofiness in some of the Roger Moore movies - like the crocodiles in LIve and Let Die.
I grew up on Pierce Bronson and Daniel Craig as 007❤
