Yes, Alissa you are right,her father was the one who police caught smuggling the wood in the milk truck and made deal with the police to become an informer. That is what pushpa is referring in this scene, about her father.Think you remember the dam scene where puspa saved crores worth of the stash.

We must always remember that this story picturisation is of the period late 1990s. Hence, all traditions, practices what they used be 20-25 years.
This is the greatness of the crestive Director Sukumar.
One must watch Telugu version to get 100% flavour.
