The way I lost my shit after watching this reaction i- 😂😂😂. I came to realize, us Indians having been fed these kinds of jaw opening scenes has made it so generic for us. We are so used to seeing these kind of performances that we often ignore how much effort can be out into it. You're reaction really reminded me how Indian and Bollywood creates crazy and insane movies and scenes too!

Both the warriors were also competing to each other in this particular fight scene and who ever wins this will get the throne. Bahubali is wise and kind and the other one is Bhallaldev who is not at all wise.

The context of this scene is that those two guys are brothers competing in this battle for the throne. But because of some behind-the-scenes corruption by mr. moustache, the asshole son got all the archers and arrow launcher machines, and the other son got catapults and other stuff that isn't as useful in this type of battle.

Every Diphavali year my mom always can't wait to see this movie in tv.
the story in this scene was that whoever brought the rival leader’s head alive to the queen, would be crowned king. bahubali did it for his motherland and bhalladev cared only for the power. the later “villian” is the actual son of the queen and the crippled old man. bahubali is the son of a different woman who died giving birth so that queen took responsibility. and since he thinks about his people more than the other, she favors him more. in the conclusion movie scene, it’s the final battle between bahubali’s SON and bhalladev. bahubali was killed on bhalladev’s orders after he became king and therefore it was promised that bahubali’s son will come back to avenge his mother’s (the queen) death and will kill bhalladev. also, bahubali and his son look exactly the same. so in the conclusion, it’s not bahubali fighting his “brother,” it’s bahubali’s son fighting his uncle (bhalladev).

The conversation at the end between the two warriors the queen and the whole crowd about who is the better warrior, basically translates to the queen saying the guy with the lion fist, Came back for his soldiers, came back for us and didn’t kill the innocents while the guy with the hammer just kept going and kept marching and focus too much on conquest and blood

I really enjoyed your review for one simple reason. You seem to have got so much of the story from the emotions, the fight, the facial expressions etc. That is actually the competence of the director SS Rajamouli. He is a legend in visual storytelling in India and has given 10 blockbusters in a row since he started making movies. You should watch his movie Eega. Made on a shoestring budget, it is a prime example of how creative storytelling can let you get away with not-so-great special effects

SS Rajamouli is famous for story telling techniques, layered storytelling I.e. there is story of the battle but that fits into the greater story of the movie ...
All his movies are like this , you can watch a fight or song from him as a complete unit by itself and it also fits into the bigger story....
