My dad was a slave for Matsushita corp. working in a copper smelter in Japan. WW2 POW. That would be an cool component in a build.

Hey Joe, thanks for all of the content that you upload. It's a lifeline for me. Can you share where you source the Panasonic Orange film caps that you typically use? I can only find higher voltage caps in this style for the last few years. Thanks again for sharing.

I've actually looked around and haven't found any orange drops less than 100V. Usually I will go KEMET or WIMA caps for pedals.

@@graybenchelec Yes, I’ve been using WIMA’s too. It doesn’t feel appropriate in every application but the difference is probably minimal. I just bought a set of trans on your Reverb shop. Thanks again Joe.

love your channel, thanks for sharing your knowledge. i just got into fixing broken pedals for a hobby. can you give me any insight?
i have a nano pog by electroharmonix. everything works great but the effect / light always stays on. it doesn’t go to bypass mode. i thought it was the switch so i replaced it but it still has the same issue. any suggestions?

I would recommend posting pics of the pedal to /r/diypedals. Usually the footswitch lifts the ground from the LED circuit, so the LED is getting ground from somewhere even when the footswitch is disengaged.

I also ALWAYS purchasing random & weird NOS parts (usually transistors) for no reason, most of them are from locals ancient part stores (which is usually own by old Chinese people) in my country. I just thinking that i will use them in a whatever fuzz someday. Usually the prices is supprisingly cheap as the owner of the shop never adjusting the price with inflation nor current hype! For example 3 years ago i found NOS Mullard OC75 for $0,2 (2 cent?). Now, I stopped buying parts at offline stores because even though what I need is just some LED or solder wire, I always ended up carrying BAGS of weird transistors. I wondering that transistors is becaming somekind of addiction. Lol

That's great! I had a surplus store near me, but unfortunately they closed up shop. I bought hundreds of components from them, it was a goldmine.
