Today we're going to examine the Garnet stinger fuzz circuit (both versions), and make a battle plan for putting one together.

I had an early Rebel back in the early nineties. The Stinger circuit was amazing when it worked, which was rarely. I still use Garnet amps, though. Love 'em.
I had a later Rebel II with Stinger that had the 6JW8 circuit. It was pretty much unusable, with over the top gain and feedback. I never tried tweaking the circuit, just passed it on to a guy that was very into fuzz. I also had an earlier Rebel Deluxe with Stinger that was much better, more like the early, pre-American Woman Herzog that I had. I'm not sure what tube that one had...
