These vids are more useful/valuable than the sheet of lymphedema info I got upon D/C.

What a great video. I have had lyphedema for over 20 years and was very lazy when applying shin care. I got to the point that my leg got that hard aligator skin that got really itchy and then my skin opened and fluid oozed out. I had to go on antibiotics to clear it up. Now I check and care for my skin daily. It is imperative to not put your compression garments on too soon after applying lotion, not only is it difficult to get on but it makes you itch and sweat. Just a helpful hint. 😊

Great video, thank you! If one has lymphedema from hips to feet, is wearing knee highs on hot days better or worse than not wearing any compression at all?

An odd topic for a video but maybe you can talk about everyday things people do that make their lymphedema worse, or can cause enough trauma over time to cause lymphedema. Maybe sitting at your desk too long, on on the toilet for too long, long distance driving, flying. Would the water pressure from deep sea diving cause any problems? Sunburn, cold, heat, hot water in a tub or jacuzzi. Using icep acks and heating pads.
On the opposite side of the coin what everyday things can we do to improve our lymphedema? Do those little trampolines do any good? Exercise bikes, stair climbers, treadmills. The underwater treadmill at my lymphedema clinic is so much nicer than one on land as is the therape pool it's in. I've used water resistance in pools to exercise since the '70s.

They have an underwater treadmill? That’s amazing!!
But absolutely, those are great ideas! Thank you

I have a terrible problem with dry skin and buildup of the dry skin. Lotion didn't seem to be the solution and my lymphedema therapist used Aquaphor which worked better. I also found shae butter to work well, especially on loosening the layers of dry skin on my feet and toes. I'll cover first with that thin tube material that has a yellow line in it. Then sometimes Tubigrip on top of that. Then compression, wraps, Juxta, whatever. The hard part is finding something to put over the wraps to keep them from coming loose and especially over the Juxta products to keep the velcro from grabbing everything in site and pulling loose.
