    Thank you so much for this up dated information, I am a breast cancer survivor and a licensed massage therapist. I had a masectomy and 12 lymph nodes removed. You explain it so well.

    Thank you so much for your videos and for making updates based on new discoveries, you’re a wonderful PT and your videos have been so helpful for me. I’m a young breast cancer survivor and my team left out a lot of information about how/when lymphedema could occur and what preventative measures I could take. It was frustrating to hear that I was likely developing it after reporting some pain in my arm and breast, but between your videos and compression garments I feel like I’ve gotten it under control. Can’t wait for the updated breast massage video!

      It’s disappointing how often I hear that this information is left out. We’ll continue to advocate! I’m glad you have things under control more. 🙂 sending you my best!

    I love your channel, after lumpectomy and AWS I find so much information following you. I wonder if you have any videos on how to heal your body after radiation in the early weeks when the rash and the itch are in full force. Is there anything else other than exercise and good diet? Plenty of fluids and sleep that you would recommend for exercise in that area? I have also been doing lymphatic drainage. Thank you 🙏🏻

    Thank you Kelly- feeling so motivated and positive about learning the up-to-date method! I had chemotherapy, a mastectomy,14 lymph nodes removed and radiotherapy- your excellent videos are part of my recovery 🤗

    I’m so grateful to have come across channel. Do you suggest completing these exercises once per day or more? And if once, is it best in the am? Can these exercises be done as a preventative measure? Thank you!

    Thank-you for breaking new info! I’m so surprised that a lot of the lymph still drains on the side of the mastectomy. Is this true even if lymph nodes were removed?

    • @crispykmm9646
      @crispykmm9646 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep- amazing isn't it. But even when all our nodes removed ALERT ICG mapping showed most people still drain there. Thats in the videos and the research papers. I changed what i do for myself when it got published a couple years ago.

    Thank you for all you do, I noticed most of your talk/videos are on secondary lymphedema. You don't really talk on Primary lymphedema (Lymphedema precaux). I'll appreciate it if you do.
    Thanks.

    Kelly, I left you a comment on the site for The Future of Lymphatic Drainage: Revolutionizing Lymphedema treatment. You said that you would be providing some modifications of MLD and wondered when that might be forthcoming. Looking forward to it. Thanks.

    Hi Kelly, there is something that confuses me. The study says that the fluid flows to the nodes in the arm pit. But isn’t that where the flow problem happens because some nodes were removed? So are you saying that we 1) massage arm to move the stuck fluid towards the armpit and 2) massage armpit to move the fluid out? Where does the fluid ultimately go once it reaches the armpit?
    Thank you! And thank you for your excellent videos.

      I have the same question. Is this modified version for patients have no remaining lymph node in the affected armpit? Or does there need to be some still there?

  • @francescaclemente2655

    This is yet again a great video! One question: what you define as mild lymphedema? Is this applicable to stage 1 only or does stage 2 qualify too?
    Thank you!

    • @CancerRehabPT
      @CancerRehabPT  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yes, I would say mild to me is stage 1, possibly into very well managed stage 2. Anything more than that I would call moderate or severe, which will be coming in a future video soon 🙂

    What role, if any, do you think the arm sleeve pump should play in the management of lymph drainage? Especially in early stage (1 or 2) lymphedema.

    My shoulder swells up from time to time right where I had a broken clavicle surgically repaired(with a metal pate) do you think it has anything to do with a severed or blocked lymph node?

    Can hopping on 1 foot at a time on the trampoline move lymph? One of my legs is longer than the other so the health bounce is a little painful but I still need to move lymph for the “C” diagnosis.
