Coming back to this video, I'm sorry you ended up not liking them much but I'm still glad I mentioned them to you and you didn't miss out on a chance to try them. I personally liked these while they lasted because after eating more than one of them the taste grew on me, but I understand why some people wouldn't as it's an odd combo.

Pizza Pops were invented by Faraci in Winnipeg in the 1970's. Their factory was on Higgins. Dad used to buy them all the time. They had to be cooked in a pot of hot oil until they "popped open." They were amazing. Since they were purchased by Pilsbury, they have always sucked shit. Faraci's kids had a food truck here and they were the original recipe. Faraci died a few years ago. His firm was originally purchased by 2 engineers when he had financial trouble and the engineers sold it. Klein and Dashevsky. I knew them. K & D Engineering. Faraci's brother was Ed Faraci, a Mechanical Engineer and I knew him since 1986 when I worked for Honeywell after I graduated from Engineering, He died in 2022.
I knew that, I saw it today. They used to be so good.

Winnipeg's most famous snack isn't as good as it used to be. Pizza Pops used to burst with lots of nuclear hot sauce and fillings but every time I've had them recently they're pretty hollow now days

Too bad it didn’t have the Taco flavor cause package looked good. I find everything has less flavor compared to the 70’s- 80’s. I remember late 70’s early 80’s - Doritos had Taco flavor . It was dark brown and spicy. It blew my mind with tons of flavor. Best snack I ever had. Unfortunately they don’t make that flavor anymore. It tasted better than Taco Bell. I wish you could of tried those .

Tried these a few days ago, they were great! Had these for dinner tonight, and something about them was super off putting. Not sure what it was, but I have to say now these weren’t the best. The best by far are the Frank’s limited edition. Thanks for your review!
Maybe there's different batches and I got a bad one.
They probably used better ingredients in the first wave of sales to get people interested and then swapped out for cheaper to test the waters on successive waves, companies do it all the time with staggered product releases.
the classic ones are definitely the best. hard to believe its a canada thing only, seems like something the americans would like.

Nice, they didn't taste enough like taco for me.
I tried that brand of normal pizza pop before, every time i microwave them the cheese doesnt melt properly and it just tastes kinda bland but i eat it anyway (its my only breakfast)

Honestly didnt mind these they werent great but not bad lol i wish they would package them single like they used to. Nuked in the bag are best way to have them or deep fried reminds me growing up as a kid getting them at the hockey rink or a fair . My do is theee cheese or the pepperoni there used to be a double bacon cheese burger one when i was a teenager but think its got canceled

Went grocery shopping last night at Save On Foods and this flavour was not in the freezer section but they are tonight. Moments like this make me beiieve someone up there is looking out for us all😂

It just tastes like old el paso seasoning, nothing special.
I just tried old el paso pizza pops for the first time and the filling reminds me of hamburger helper but with a super amount of taco seasoning where it can burn your nostrill. I also picked up a hawaiin flavored with pineapple and bacon i cant wait to try that (review the hawaiin ok thanks jesse)

I am torn, I actually like the pepperoni and bacon, the limited cheeseburger wasn't too bad either. I do one thing different than you do though, I use a dip with mine most times. Pizza sauce for pizza flavours and a ketchup mustard combo for the cheeseburger kind. I am gonna see if my SuperStore has some of these tomorrow and I'll be using some of my saved up Taco Bell sauce on them if they do.
Or the Pizza Pizza Garlic dip.

They were solid enough, smelled more like a taco than it tasted like one, if you're into hot pizza pops these are your go to, idk id get them again but i'll stivk with my typical deluxe for now.

Got them 2 for $6. Found them better than the rest of their stuff. Pilsbury Pizza Pops taste weirdly sweet. These do taste like Old El Paso, or Taco Bell, tacos so good job I guess.
