Thanks man for the encouragement. Because it tmc hires non experienced and you got to get the experience some where in order to look for higher paying job later on down the line.
Awesome information gentlemen, thank you both quite a bit of information here but I appreciated it. Thanks and be safe. I’m about to get into the field so I’m researching different companies and I have been told TMC is a great starting company.
FYI vehicle models of a current year usually are made the year before. His door sticker showed 2022 so he's probably in a 2023 model year as he thought and was probably told.
Man they been calling me and they ready for me to take off I think ima do it since everyone else is talking about 3 weeks out and 3 days home nahh I can’t do that
Yeah, I haul Petroleum, which is really cool because the freight loads and unload itself. I’m not standing out in the rain and the wind and the cold on top of the truck trying to tie down a load that most of the time is sitting in somebody’s yard with no covering on top of it. I don’t work for free so I get paid by the hour. I work five days a week and average 10 to 12 hours a night and clear 1800 a week. I also get around a $4000 a year bonus just for the loads, I do, the fuel economy, and if I don’t mess up. That is paid out monthly. I also enjoyed 3 1/2 weeks paid vacation at full pay scale. You guys, you gotta start somewhere but that lifestyle ain’t going to pay the bills when you got a family and you’re gonna miss a lot of things not being home. I did my share over the road for 10 years and I’m done.
Started with this company the getting on top of the load was a no go for me and my trainer was complaining about pay when all he did was team drive his trainees definitely a no go with that military atmosphere
I'm averaging around $2,000 a week out here in the oil field. Hauling oil field equipment and cranes. Looking at going back OTR. Seems like a good deal with TMC.
@thedon670 between 70-80 hrs a week. But I also sleep in a nice hotel room every night and get a shower every day and I don't have to worry about parking, truck stops, or rude shippers and receiver's.
@@lonner98 the hotel every night and not worrying about parking would probably be the only thing that’d motivate me/incentivize me to keep going. 70-80hrs a week of work is a lotttt man. So basically $25/hr when you break it down. Not knocking the job, but I feel like when it comes to hauling fuel, we should get paid at least $30/hr. It’s some danger to that
I’m working for them for a month I’m out 5 days and home 2 I do 5 loads a week here in Texas all my load’s average 750 dollars and I get 30 percent of that so I gross around 1000 a week not good at all
@@nobull4414 lmao damn. I just got my CDL A last week and I feel a bit discouraged already. The pay does not seem to equate to the amount of hours and work that comes into trucking

Probably best stay in oilfield if it’s consistent
How many hours???

How do I get on the oilfield I live in Texas
TMC went to a company that was paying carriers $6,00 a mile and under bid contract down to $3,80 a mile there part of the problem in this industry
6 a mile wasn’t going to last.
That’s a problem with the US dollar more than the truck companies
What did the end up doing to fix there crashed system when drivers sat?
Got paid 1500
They pay 7k a year for employee owned program I hope I can start when I graduate
He not lying I been here 6 months. You reach that 32% mannn start taking home $1500 plus a week

you forgot to mention how they stonewall you when you try to follow up on the multiple applications you filled out
What you mean ?
@thetruckingguy8926 I filled out applications for them on 4 different job boards and when I try to call them it just goes right to voicemail
Do they have a cab camera ? Like one of those they see everything you do
no they don't have cameras in they trucks...

How long does the hiring process take?
Definitely not worth it
for driving I would find a new job and quit, that's not enough for driving freight
I’d be gone so quick
Are they all automatic now I'm used to a manual
Yes 90% of the fleet now is automatic. I’m very grateful of that since I go to the northeast a lot.
thts good money i never make over $1500 a week
Neither does he. He is making $1342.76 weekly average over eight weeks 8/5/2022 tp 9/23/2022. That's typical company pay.
