Great video Will. The KLX definitely doesn't do highways but it can certainly adventure. Took mine on a 4 day camping trip, bike was great fully loaded saddle bags and all.
Hi Chris, I'd be happy if you could link the saddle bags you used or even just give me a name, I need some of those for my KLX
finally got my camping stuff all together so hope to moto camp with the klx250 in the near future. its an awesome adventure bike. amazing on what it can do!
Now they just need to come out with a KLX400 dual sport and I'm a buyer. That could probably be the perfect dual sport and give the drz some stiff competition.

There is a klx 400 already, it is a green DR-Z that Kawasaki put on the market years ago.

great video, thanks for the input. Im eyeing up a 2019ish KLX250 camo right now trying to decide if its the bike for me weighing 170 at 5'9. the drz400 seems like such a fossil with old equipment but its got the power id rather have but its air cooled, carbed with inverted forks and all that... off road it seems like it would suck compared to that KLX but do better on the road. I wish they just made a 450 fuel injected dual sport instead of all these 250s...
thanks buddy! excatly, that is what we are waiting for. an EFI 450 like the drz400. efi is very nice to have especially in the mountain states where you can ride 4k ft to 12k feet. a drz400 is great if you dont have much elevation change tbh. does well on the road and trails.
Your footage always looks great and I have a crappy connection. How are you rendering and what exactly is your process. Just started my channel and my videos look like 2600 Atari games.

Really enjoying the videos! Was wondering if you've ever bent the shifter or lever on yours, I fell and bent the shifter and lever and now it won't shift into 1st :(
thanks buddy! haha yeah happens often! either you might need a new one or you can maybe bend it back. check the spline as well make sure nothing got stuck
I had a Klx for awhile and rode it up in Colorado, did rainbow trail on it, and agate trail. Bike was way to under powered for me up there, and made it hard to ride in my opinion.
i know exactly what you mean lol. ive ridden rainbow trail a few times and I couldnt picture this KLX250 on there with how steep those trails are and rocky. The power definitely is not there at this elevation

haha thanks man!! so I actually use a mixture between COTREX and back country navigator. i used many apps and feel this one is best for explorers
sounds like you need some fuel air mods
yep up in this elevation, I think that mod will go a long way, esp with how thin the air is up here. i do plan on adding bigger headers, ejk, new pipe and air box mod and then take it back to 14k ft elevation and see the difference, then get some cams , BB and some delete mods and see then
How about installing some Nitrous to use when on the road. Cars shouldn't be a problem anymore lol!
i was actually thinking of adding a GSXR1000 engine to the KLX250 ;) haha! imagine that!
I dont get the issue. My 2016 klx250 will sit at 70-80mph all day and I weigh 210lbs. I ride 80-90% road easily and have no issues at all.
What elevation you ride at?
