I have an hp z420 with amd rx 580 xt. Runs great. Gave my grandson one, works great. You need to do more testing to see what the problem is. BTW, its a workstation, not a server.
Thanks for commenting! I have updated the video title to say 'workstation' instead. I was using the term loosely as it was a plan of mine to use it as a network storage server haha. Ya something wasn't right, I think. I could try to re-install Windows fresh. Maybe something was hogging up all the CPU cycles.
hi i had the same problem all i done was put new graphics card in the desktop got it working i think there was a problem with old graphic card came with my desktop did you try the old graphic card the one you have
@@martinward6422yes my radeon hd 7770 2gb ddr5 works in my old system htpc but in this workstation i only get the beeps and shutdowns I dont get it , the 600watt should support i ? It uses a 6 pin connector so tried both of them from the power supply but same beeping error ...😓
Plug in gpu, make sure all cables are connected, check psu is correctly plugged in as this is an error, telling you that there's a psu fault/issue somewhere. Run pc and see if this works!
On google ,it is clear that we can use E5 1600 and 2600 v1,v2 and v3 processors for z420 . I am using 2602. Kindly tell me , Which one is most performing processor z420 can handle ,
Okay at 3.60 ghz it's not the cpu bottlenecking. Did you match ram at 1600 mhz ? You can't have a mismatch even brand diffrence at the same frequency can throw it off. Input the biggest ram sticks on the outside slots . None if those games should be a issue. Something isn't right . I run the z 440 with the gtx 1050 and i can run those games all day long with no problems. My cpu is 3.7 ghz ddr4 but still 64 g of ram is plenty and you should have no issues . Also that adapter might not be rated correctly so therfore it's not providing the proper watts that gpu requires .
Yes, it was strangely slow. I had better expectation before this testing. My RAM are all identical: 4x 16GB 12800R ECC server RAM (exact same model). I ran them in quad-channel setup. In my game tests, the CPU constantly stayed at 100% utilization though (as shown by MSI Afterburner on-screen). That led me to think the CPU was the bottleneck. Which CPU do you have on your Z440? PS: valid point on the GPU adapter.

The E5-2697 seems to be a good processor for it.
can i run rtx in this workstation?
I don't see why not.
@@ComputerizedCanadaas long as it only needs 6 pin and fits into the wattage of your power supply yeah. Something like a 3080 needs 8pin, wont work.
