- Since being made famouse on fly vs jerk by Pierre and Truman i've wanted t have a go with one of these lures. I finally got round to buying one (for £38!) but will it be as good as I hoped? watch the video to find out!

*I used to fish with a Crippled Killer growing up in the 50/60’s and **enjoyable.fishing** recommend think this lure gas a smoother propeller action. It is a great surface lure.*
I’ve Been a sub for about 2 weeks now and gave pike fishing ago, I already had a spinning rod and spent about £70 on real, braid, lures, etc. And caught my first pike today using tips from you keep up the videos mate they help a lot

Nice lure, I think it doesn't matter what you cast topwater though, if it makes enough of a hubbub and conditions are right.. pike magnets.
the best italian lure for pike,also the miura's duck is a good lure better than suicide duck of savage gear
Strike pro's lures are killing it! Buster Jerk (that single lure started the jerkbait.frenzy in sweden back in the early 2000's), pig shad (my favorite soft swim bait), Astro vibe (blade bait) and Cracy X (crank bait wobbler). I did not like Struke pro, but they really proved themselfes.

@@pikeandperch i got it from my local tackle shop , they only sell the perch and roach colour tho. Im guessing the other colours will get released soon

might be a bit late but the lure in the vid is 95gr but there is a smaller one which is 60g and yes the rod in westin.
Out of curiosity how heavy is the mouse? I read that it is 95g - is that the total weight? I assume it pushes a lot of water and the fur on the lure may cause it to be even heavier. Do you think a rod up to 140g would be enough to fish comfortable with this lure?
There is also a 60g mouse. I’d say 140g casting weight is more than enough to use the 90g one.
theres also a mini version, 40g when its dry. but it will soak up some water, so youll need like at least up to 80g rod

What would be the best baitcaster reel to buy for a big lake fishing from a boat
Shimano calcutta, abu revo beast, abu toro beast,
I just got into bait casting not long ago and I went with the Abu Garcia Beast and I really could recommend it more, there are cheaper options out there but when it comes to multiplier reels it's better to pay a bit more if you want to be casting larger lures.
@@fishingjunkiez7273 yeah i agree. My wife bought the revo beast and i fell in love with it just filled the spool up. You can buy a chinese reel for 20 quid and buy a new when it break every 2 weeks. Or spend money on a beast, or calcutta or prorex. Alot of choises, but i know what i would do. 🎣

I’ve had two of these and lost them due to backlash on baitcasting reels using 50lb braid any recommendations on what strength braid to use as they are expensive lures to be loosing?

Very poor winter lure, shallow water in warmer months maybe i have 96 grams and still need to weight it down to get in lower level of the river, not great in strong current, need up to 150 200 gr rod with bait caster with medium speed or slow price for big one 40 euro plus
UK isn't a reliable source to look at. Fishing there is unreal, it seems anyone can pull a gator out of any ditch.

This seems to be a great fish catcher, but at current prices it is a total rip off. It is also one of the easiest lures to make . I hope the Italian guy who came up with the prototype did not get ripped off the way Buster Odin did with Buster jerk
It actually works only in the USA.
In Europa it's quite difficult to catch a fish with topwater baits.
