This was the song that made me declare "I'm dedicating my life to guitar" after hearing it the first time. I was 13, I heard the main lead and it evoked a sensation I can only describe as "warm chills" that I've been striving to create with my own music ever since. Andy taught me to play every note with my soul on fire
Can't agree more, amazing how I had the exact same experience at age 13, I'm 32 now and yeah, haven't stopped playing. Andy really paved the way for a lot of us.
I was introduced to this tune by friends in the early 2000s, I was fascinated and amazed. Listening to it now it sounds entirely blues to me which wasn´t the case in the first place. Asking someone like Andy to do blues seems comparable to asking Davinci to paint a wall all white, basic commercial stuff. But the closer you get to that song or wall you notice all those lovely details that are put in not to bragg and show off but to set focus, guide the spectator and by that allow for those various levels of entertainment. All this from something that from a distant view appears as simple as some nice play with trills and runns but in a close view opens up its very own entire universe to you. Well balanced art, chapeau Mr. Timmons!

Just when you thought Andy couldn't get any better!! This is one of my favorite songs from "The Spoken and Unspoken" Album. Love the way Andy ended it verses how it fades out with tons of killer riffs in the Album. Also a very underrated album from Andy that needs more attention. All of his stuff is great. I think Andy was really in his Jazz practice phase during the making of this album. Thank you Andy. So good!!

I've never spent time listening to Andy Timmons. And so hearing his style of athletic playing sounds new and gives me the "damn he didn't just do that" I haven't experienced in a while.
The firmness with which he plays all of this reminds me kind of Paul Gilbert and Gary Moore wrapped into one playing a strat. Pretty spooky.
Given the power of backwards reflection... Andy Timmons' instrumental rock compositions stand the test of time and (in my opinion) they remain the absolute best music of the genre from the previous century. :-) Andy truly makes the guitar speak in the musical language, his phrasings are by far the most articulate even when compared to other great players like Joe Satriani. Andy is truly a humble, quiet person but boy can he ever make that instrument sing, loud and proud!!
