From touring as a support act for Kiss and Alice Cooper (with Danger Danger) through to MD-ing for Olivia Newton-John, Andy Timmons has an illustrious and diverse career. There are some people like Stephen Fry, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine, who could read the ingredients from a sauce bottle and fill it with delight, emotion and meaning. Andy Timmons can convey happiness, pain, wonder and delight in all he plays and I wouldn’t be surprised if he could also do the same with the sound of tuning in! Thank you Andy. You are what music is there for.

It was a night to remember few years ago when he came live in Spirit of 66 (Belgium). He asked what we'd like to ear and I directly scream that song.. Andy's reaction : instant smile, look at his bassist and say's "All right dude, a night to remember it is (with another Big smile)... What a dream, what a night to remember
Andy blows me away every time. I stopped playing guitar for 30 years, heard 'Cry For You' for the first time and went out and bought a new guitar. Just inspirational.
If that song was the only thing I produced my whole life, I'd die with a sense of accomplishment...to have a whole catalog of songs on that level is unfathomable. There are many other guitarists as knowledgeable and practiced, but Andy's talent is on another musical level. My favorite guitarist by far...hope he puts out another solo album of original material.

@@Renekor maybe more knowledgable, but never found mcalpine's recordings particularly catchy. Timmons is something I can listen to repeatedly.

Andy Timmons is amazing. I've seen him three or four times live. It's like he's not really playing guitar. It's like he's holding the guitar and the music is passing through his body and he has no control over it. Incredible musician.

Really? I thought it was incredible. He totally improvised most of it which I liked very much. He's using a backing track so he knows instinctively how many measures he's working with and when certain parts of the melody have to happen. I thought it was great.
