Dave D - you are correct. First video shows typical GTs hunting the shoreline. Second video shows actual black tip reef sharks. Very different hunting patterns in both species, and made obvious by the 2 videos put together.

Yo estoy organizando un viaje para las Maldivas en 2022 pero viendo esto me entran dudas y no se si replanteármelo. Soy de estar en el agua horas y horas y no quiero verme a 100m de la costa y encontrarme con algún tiburón. No sabría que hacer... Lo peor sería ver más de uno Se ha registrado algún ataque?? Tb mi media en el agua es alta, mucha gente se pasa una buena parte en la arena o la amaca y yo del agua no salgo. Tengo + probabilidades de encontrarme con uno o que me ataque :( Aunque digan q no nos van a hacer nada como se puede estar seguro?

Yo soy como tú, me estoy mucho tiempo en el agua viendo los preciosos peces de colores y sobre todo tortugas y tiburones. Te puedo asegurar que aquí los tiburones NO HACEN NADA, es más, yo cuando veo uno me lanzo a toda la velocidad que puedo para verlo de cerca, como verás que hago en el vídeo, y él lo único que hace es largarse lo más rápido posible. Ya puedes estar 100% seguro que ellos nunca hacen nada 👍 Nunca ha habido ningún ataque en Maldivas. Ahora mismo acabo de ver tres tiburones y son preciosos. Un saludo desde Maldivas y no te lo pienses 🤝

Hola!! A ver te quería hacer alguna consulta. Tu te acercas a los tiburones como comentas y ellos se van, pero he leído que hay especies tigre o martillo que supongo que son mas peligrosas. Si me puedes hablar mas detalladamente sobre ellos te lo agradecería :) Estos días estoy muy ocupado pero quiero mirar tu canal pronto, a ver si me encuentro más ejemplos de tus acercamientos jejej. Yo estoy por escoger entre 2 resorts (thulhagiri o filhalholhi) ya veré si puedo estar unos pocos días en uno y luego en otro, o si me sale a cuenta quedarme todas las noches en uno solo, pero lo que mas me preocupa sobre los que necesitan hidroavión es si el resort te lo incluye en el pago o se tienen que reservar aparte. Hay tantas islas, y con presupuesto limitado es difícil escoger, pero estaré unos meses explorando antes de decidir. Debe de ser genial haber ido varias veces como has hecho tu, me encantaría jejeje. 1 saludo!!🙂
No le hagas ni caso, los tiburones de arrecife SI pueden atacar al humano,, otra cosa es que el tiburon no suele atacar al humano porque no entra en su menu, pero los tiburones de arrecife cuando se ponen agresivos son muy peligrosos

Hate to break it to you but the first one is what appears to be a school of larger fish chasing after the little ones. If you look between the 00:30 and 00:32 mark, you can clearly see them leaping out of the water. It is definitely not a shark, whatever it is. And why would you use a thumbnail that clearly isn’t even from the video?
It is true, the first are not sharks, but they are not dolphins either, they are big fish that I do not remember their name, but I already write that in the video in Spanish.

When you said it was a double attack, I figured there were two different segments: the one with the bird in the beginning and the second one where you filmed underwater. And I don’t speak or read Spanish so I wasn’t able to translate the description. Either way the underwater footage was really quite beautiful. Also, I’m just curious, how big was the shark that you filmed underwater? Sometimes it’s hard to gauge its proportions by using the underwater elements around it as a point of reference to gauge its size.

The opening scene was NOT a shark attack. It was a school of trevally chasing baitfish against the beach and the bird was hoping to get some scraps.

I swam with hundreds in Mexico’s never saw a shark but I will admit I was constantly scanning
