Not just any quartz movement. A thermoregulated precidrive accurate to 10 seconds per year- much like a grand seiko 9f. Definitely an important point for those complaining about price. I’d have gone for the no date but there is the difference of no branding on the dial with that one. I like the marathon name and the history it has 😎
I've been asking for a TSAR/GSAR bracelet. My Marathon bracelet is pretty beat up and the clasp will sometimes open when I don't want it to. I've had the new bracelet for two days now and it's great, thanks for bringing it to market so I don't have to buy another $300 Marathon bracelet with a sub-par clasp.
I like the Artic Navigator, and would be nice to add it to my Marathon collection, but I'm content for the moment with my recent Marathon acquisitions: SS Navigator and the Islander Navigator. I hope an Islander bracelet is for the MSAR is next?
Agreed. I was fortunate enough to get my 41mm TSAR on sale but $1,200 msrp for a Quartz Diver on a rubber strap is insane. They are extremely well built though and i dont regret buying it, just wish they were a little more affordable. As far as the navigator goes i much prefer the Islander collaboration model to this new steel arctic they released. The black case with white dial and blue tritium was a home run.
it's so weird and I don't know to describe it… your collab and this model on paper ARE EXACTLY what I want for a reliable watch spec-wise. but why is it that when I look at them they're not calling to me. why?
I love Marathon's watches but i really feel like they've priced themselves out of consideration for a ton of people, myself included. Just asking way too much for what you get and brand heritage can only carry markup so far.
To the "its too expensive for quartz" commenters: show me a mechanical watch that is +/- 10 seconds a year accurate and with the same military spec'd durabilty for less money.
Cool that the blue tubes are exclusive to your version! 👍
Yes they are!
That’s a great bracelet. Very nice! Thank you for thinking of us.
You are so welcome!
I will be purchasing one of these bracelets soon. Thank you Marc.
Wonderful!
Those are all very nice!
I think so too!

Great addition. I've heard a lot of complaints about the Marathon bracelets.
No AR coating?
Awesome bracelet for GSAR!!
It sure is!
What's the bezel material? Any plastic?
love the no date!!! Saving up some pennies!
Do it!
Sure would love a bracelet like that for my orient baby triton
Do you sell just the bracelet end links for Marathon ?
Nice bracelets!
Thank you! 😊

Lack of AR is heartbreaking because I've been waiting for this one
Sorry.

We shall see
Make a rubber strap that wraps to the case for the TSAR please
Noted.
The Sinn silicone straps do work on the 41mm GSAR. The curve matches.
@@travisharrisphotography which on? U50, u1??
@@scott9739 for the 556. I bought one for my 556i last year. And for fun wanted to see if it would fit on the gear. And it did 🙂🥂
They're cool watches but ridiculously overpriced for what they are to be honest.
True. To think that you could get the polymer navigator for ~ 200 bucks a couple years ago... now they charge almost 500.
Think their "sales figures disagree".....

It is overpriced. Just like iphones 😂
Does that bracelet work only with the Marathons, Mark? Just curious.
Yes
Love this white version. Will you be making a steel bracelet for the Navigator? I'd buy one. I promise.
No plans yet.
Hmm. I like these now actually.
Cool
If the case wasn't asymmetrical it'd be perfect to me.
The OEM Marathon bracelet is sooooo disappointing for what I paid for. Waiting to take delivery my Ilander Marathon bracelet.
Wish marathon had more watches with luminova rather than only tritium
3:13 No clicky clacky with your bracelet.
If Marathon finds out you are offering your own bracelets for their watches, will they go … ballistic?
😂

Dunno, but I get it. Just not in love.
@@islandwatch maybe I'll change my mind if I see them in person… October is so far away. lol
$600 plus for a quartz watch... must be bad ass
And Swiss ;)
👍
Thanks!

I do like them, just seems overpriced.
As to your travel watch, my Casioak is my go to airport watch.
Good one
@@islandwatch I choose it as it is light weight and not being metal I don't have to worry about setting off metal detectors

also the second hand seems to be centered on almost every indices. I think ppl need to look deeper to see quality quartz.
You learn to take all commentary :)
