I don’t get the Catford argument as all I can see is it’s the leagues fault! I get the argument of the right to earn a place in the Prem but you need at least 10 teams in the division to make it work 7 teams in a league would mean 12 leagues games over an 8 month period, meaning effectively the league games could be done just after Xmas & every team in that division would be complaining to the league So personally I’d be congratulating teams that take the opportunity to fill up the prem as more than likely they’re gonna struggle as the step up is big I would imagine? but at least every team gets 18 league games instead of 12 & gets a game every week or am I missing something here?
