The Trunchball truly terrified me as a youngster, especially when Miss Honey and Matilda are hiding in her house. Pam Ferris seems like a lady offscreen.
Pam Ferris plays a very different character in 'Rosemary & Thyme', where she and Felicity Kendall solve murder mysteries. Highly recommend watching it if you like British murder mysteries and gardening.
@@ColtonRMagby Have you seen the reunion they all did, where they were dressed normally but acted out various scenes? That was pretty cool, and she was involved with that. She's actually very pretty; she's just been cast as characters like the Trunchball and Marge Dursley.
My congratulations to the actress for putting herself completely into the role, she managed to terrify us a lot. The scene of Matilda and the teacher hiding in her house the first time leaves the heart trembling with terror
I was expecting The Coachman from Pinocchio, due to his mysterious nature, scary grin, greedy motivations, and the fact that he, along the other villains from the movie, was the one of the few Disney villains who didn't get his comeuppance. What a scary and realistic character.
nice choice! I completely forgot about him and I watch Pinocchio all the time. That's another thing with Pinocchio, i.e. it teaches us many life lessons and one of them is some of the nefarious people in life escape justice (not just the coachman but Honest John, Gideon, Monstro the Whale, Stromboli)
I even heard that other actors were considered to play Judge Doom, like Tim Curry. Apparently, Curry was considered too scary. Yeah, as if Christopher Lloyd didn't already make Judge Doom scary with his climactic reveal.
The main antagonist from 2004’s ‘The Incredibles’, my 2nd most favorite Pixar movie. From Mr. Incredible fanboy to vengeful, psychopathic genius villain.

It’s amazing how when we were kids, we never really noticed how dark and evil some antagonists were until we become adults. You look at it from a different perspective.
It's crazy knowing 11 year old Tom Riddle is played by Ralph Fiennes' nephew, Hero. Uncle and nephew do superb jobs portraying two different ages of the terrifying Dark Lord.
I feel like Lord Shen from Kung Fu Panda 2 should have at least been an honorable mention. The guy not only killed Po’s mother, but also all of the pandas that he could. Not often you start a kid’s movie telling about how someone committed genocide on the main character’s people.
Return To Oz was a scary movie. The Wheelers' laughter was frightening for a kid, but the witch took heads of maidens to change her looks, now that was disturbing!
I had five characters that were frightening to me during the 80's and 90's. Judge Doom, Mrs Trunchbull, The Grand high Witch, Cruella De Vil and the Vigo guy in Ghostbusters 2.
When it comes to Frollo, I don't know what's more bizarre: the fact that this character is in a Disney movie or the fact that he was considerably more sympathetic in the original book.

Ursula from The Little Mermaid kind of frightened me when I was little, especially in her giant form. Mor’du from Brave is also definite nightmare fuel because he’s a big, scary, demonic, and primal bear with scars and weapons that are left on his impenetrable hide.
Mother Gothel from Tangled is a really good example of a seriously messed up villain. I didn't realise she was that incredibly evil until only a few years ago 😬
She's one of the most interesting villains. While typical ones want power, wealth and Control over the whole World, Gothel only wanted Rapunzel for her evil, personal and selfish needs. Definitely a good example.
Cruella made me want to protect animals. Ms Trunchbull made me terrified of going to school because I was afraid that à principal would be similar to her
Another top ten list that should've been a top twenty. And if I were you guys, I'd include Scroop from the underrated Disney masterpiece that is Treasure Planet. He's a cruel, cold-hearted, selfish, sadistic, psychotic, and merciless spider-like alien pirate with a never-ending lust for blood. He tries to kill Jim Hawkins twice and successfully-murders Mr. Arrow by cutting off his lifeline, making him fall into the black hole while screaming in doom. He also tries to expose John Silver right in front of the whole crew for being such a big ol' softie towards Jim in hopes that the gang will turn on him and even kill him. He's easily the scariest character in the entire movie, while also being it's true villain.

Can you please do a video on Top 10 Disney plus TV Shows/Movies that are actually worth watching?
To be honest, I never liked Scrappy-Doo.
Me too
There’s a very good reason he’s one of the most hated cartoon characters:
HE IS BEYOND ANNOYING! 😤
When I was little syndrome terrified me because he committed mass genocide to the superheroes community and I was and still am a history nerd that I now in history there are some crazy Terrance who committed mass genocide to people.
In the middle of Monsters, Inc., Mr. Henry J. Waternoose, the CEO of Monsters, Inc. was later revealed to be in a secret league with Randall Boggs, Mike and Sully's chief rival, when Waternoose discovers that Mike and Sully were the ones who let Boo out of her door, long after Randall discovered. Waternoose banishes Mike and Sully, with Randall's help, and betraying them in the process
Let’s not forget how he got exposed and arrested by the CDA and who knows what’ll come of him in the show Monsters at Work
The child catcher in Chitty chitty bang bang movie was truly horrifying
Trunchball too
Also agree with Voldermort and Judge Frollo
The dolls head and Sid in Toy Story is not something I’m going to relive 🙈🙈🙈
There needs to be a part 2 with Scar from the 1994 Lion King movie in it
There perfect for little nightmares inspiration.
Anyone else wince at her pronunciation of “Marvolo”?
I hated Scrappy Doo when he came onto the original show. When they made him the villain-I got it!
I would nominate Mrs. Tweedy personally.

Characters not in this list who really should have been mentioned (maybe next time for a Top 20 list): the Skeksis from The Dark Crystal for well... everything.
The honorable mentions should have been in the list as a top 15 instead 😕

🎵This vampire bat...this inhuman beast. She ought to be locked up...and never released!🎵
12:26 Bellwether was the perfect villain for a film about Prejudice as she's a sheep who hates Carnivores a race that's already treated as second class citizens
I know the Child Catcher scared most people when they were young, but for some reason he was always my favourite lol.
My dad was an extra in Chitty and saw Robert Helpmann without his make up on
Probably unpopular opinion here but the Bear in brave was a little more scary than he needed to be
