We having been to Italy many times, my wife and I have travelled all over-the northern half, anyway. We hope to live long enough to get south, someday; but there is soooo much to see up north, 1:50 especially. Anyway, this year we will be spending time in Mantova-and right away I can see from this really very good video that when the guide says, “Mantova is just like telling all the history of Italy in a nutshell,” He’s not kidding. I’ve been told Mantova is called “the Florence of the North” but what prospective visitors might not realise yet is (and again, quite obvious from this video) that Mantova looks just as if some giant had taken Florence, Bologna, and Venice, and kneaded them perfectly together. Stunning blend! We can’t wait!
Thank you so much for the great video on Mantova! Wish I watched it before my trip there just 10 days ago. Mantova is such a wonderful small town filled with history and beautiful views…❤❤❤
Thank you for your concise and informative introduction to Mantova. Nice format. It is nice to see that small towns in Italy remain so vibrant , attractive and relevant in the shadow of bigger cities.
Thank you for the amazing tour. My daughter and son-in-law are currently in Mantua. It's nice to see what they're enjoying. I plan to rewatch on my TV. I love Italy and have had the pleasure of visiting twice.
I am Italian and I live in Mantova ( in a small Village near the Town). The atmosphere of the city is unic, expecially early in the morning or late in the evening (or in winter with the fog) when there is no one on the streets and you feel like the owner of the Town. My favorite Place Is the back of Palazzo Ducale: it seems a journey through the time. Another "place of the heart" is the lake at "Belfiore" district: a beautiful Place in the nature for walking with my dog or for fishing. By by from Mantova 😄👋👋

@@denniscallan Hello, I did not know about this information, I found some news here. From what I've read, it's a one-year bonus for anyone who moves to the city. In fact, the city has greatly decreased its residents due to the lack of work and the closure of many shops. It doesn't seem easy to get the bonus, there will be a call for tenders. In fact, there are few job opportunities in Mantua, and the city, although beautiful, is small and offers few opportunities. Many companies are in crisis.
Hint for visitors to (anywhere, really, in) Italy: how to find the best balance of good food and keen prices: find out where the priests eat. They know!

Hi, thanks for the great videos. I'll be in Mantova soon, and I'd like to have a tour guide. How can i contact Giacomo? Thanks
Giacomo is a local intellectual and television host, not a tour guide. He was with me as a special favor. Contact the tourist office for guides.
@@denniscallan thank you for the clarification
We are coming to Italy in October. I wonder if we can hire him for our walking tour and how to contact him. Thanks.
👌👌👍
Me Palazzo Tè non c'è più?

Yeah, but be careful about over consumption of wine if you follow them too closely!

Bellissima città ma non c'è paragone con Firenze che è di un altro livello
