There’s just something, I don’t know-luxurious?-about the look of quarter-sawn oak. That piece is an absolute stunner! You need a hardware apprentice, and I think I know an up-and-coming candidate, that clever little jasper!

My auntie had something similar... the top came to our house 'on loan' for me to use as a display cabinet for the nationality dolls I collected as a child. Top and bottom were eventually reunited and she sold it for a good price when that style of furniture was sought after.
I generally don't like when restorers do black stain but I think it looks good on this piece. And your son is adorable!

I love the brown and black colors together. I would've been afraid to work on the doors with the glass panes still in. Great work on the non brass handles. It was all quality work.

I was truly apprehensive as to what this was going to look like when you started. I think you've given me some inspiration for a small MCM China hutch my sister lifted me. It was a piece that was in her husband's family. I won't keep it but my mind is working on some ideas!!

I love the peace I love the dark stain with the tiger wood. In the states here you easily get a couple thousand dollars out of that if you were selling it. 👍👍❤️
