My mom was 93 and loved Rod Stewart’s music . I bought her many CDs just cause she liked them. Before she died she gave them back 2 me That is one of many things I shared with my dear mom☮️✌️💕💕😍✝️🇺🇸💕✌️☮️🦃
I am 37 and I've always had a sentiment for Rod Stewart, particularly a few songs I had never listened to before. My parents are divorced. I chose his "Have I told you lately" for our first wedding dance as a couple (I have no idea why). When I told my mother she mentioned that my father used to listen to a Rod Stewart's album all the time when I was a baby and he rocked me to sleep with his songs. So yeah, he's been a part of my unconsciousness from the moment I was born. I still like listening to some of his songs, I guess they bring me back to my baby moments with my father.

My Dad would have loved this so much. He passed away 2 months ago. He LOVED Rod Stewart so much for many many many years. We played 'Sailing' at his funeral. I will always love Rods music, thanks to my Dad. 💙

My dad passed away 5 years ago and I played sailing at his funeral... Rod Stewart was the legacy my dad left behind for me to remember him in a different way with each song and when this song came out i couldnt hold back the tears because my dad would have been ecstatic.
Poor Shaun.... I'm thankful my Papa is still alive. He had a greatest hits CD when CDs were brand new. Fell in love with his music. This is an amazing return to the Rod Stewart style and I'm so glad to know there are many others out there like me who enjoy his music. Hard to pin down the style, kind of like Cher from 1987-1991. They're just their own thing and that's what, to me, makes them great.

It's fascinating to see the music that Rod's generation of musicians are putting out nowadays. They're getting up there in years and a general theme in a lot of them concern time and finality, using music as a pseudo aid in either confronting mortality or the twilight days of their careers (either due to their health or wanting to spend time with their loved ones).
And whilst it does make my heart a little heavy, it also lifts it with the knowledge that they want to give their fans a proper nod as if to say "Hey, I'm not going to be around forever, but while I have the chance, thanks for being so supportive."

I was supposed to see him in concert for my birthday 2 years ago, then COVID happened. The concert was once again postponed until 2022. I have my fingers crossed that I will see him live next year. Rod Stewart has helped me get through days I never thought I would get through. I look forward to his new album coming out and to seeing him live next year.

Welcome back, Rod! Where have you been??? This is a great song, and it ought to be a hit on both the pop and country singles charts. Rod Stewart did grow up on Scottish folk music, after all and you can hear the influences in such songs as "Maggie May", "Ohh La La", "Mandolin Wind", and "You're In My Heart", just to name a few. Again, welcome back!!!

Brilliant concert In Dublin on Saturday 19 Nov. My first concert was 1980 he's just amazing.
I'm not a Rod Stewart fan I do like most of his older stuff. This new song is absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately the radio stations will hardly give it air time so if you are unaware of his new material have a listen. It's not only a good song but the video and song is down with real class from an artist in his twilight years

We all did, Rod, YOU did..what a lovely life we've all had due to you superb musicians.....
My uncle died recently and one of the songs that was played at his funeral was "Have I Told You Lately" the Rod Stewart version. He and my aunt had just celebrated 60 years of marriage a few weeks before. 💔
