I played this song for my mom on one of her last days when she was lying in bed dying of cancer and she still tried to smile. She loved Rod Stewart so much, and one of our best memories together was when I took her to his concert in Vancouver. This song will always have a special place in my heart. I love you Mom always and forever!!
I lost my mom to cancer too. She was also a fan of Rod. We didn’t get to see him live in concert, but I remember her playing his music all throughout my childhood.

My dad passed away from cancer 2 years ago on the 6th of September. My parents have a clock that plays different songs. This is the song that played when he passed at 11 pm that night!! 💙💖 We are going to see him in concert tonight. Gonna be an emotional night! 😢

my wife is currently fighting cancer. I play this for her when she's up to it.
I think my wife loved Rod Stewart as much as she love me. She too fought cancer for four years. Each evening while under hospice care at home, we would play Rod Stewart songs. Near the end, she was so doped up with morphine that she couldn’t lift her head, her eyes or smile. But when we played one of Rod Stewart songs, we could see the covers over her foot bouncing back-and-forth.

Wealth, health, many, many beautiful women, Fame and on top of all that not only did he get to grow old but he got to grow old with a woman younger than his children rather than alone. My husband passed away 2 years ago. When I was cleaning out a cupboard I found a card he had given 15 years ago which had written these lyrics to me. Through ours years together he would sing this song to me. The very last time he was able to sing this is the song he sang ❤️❤️❤️
